Disappointed. I came here to improve my English, the concept was amazing for me, learning by listening and reading at the same time, sounded great. So, because you have to pay for almost every story, I put some money for a year subscription, 45€, quite expensive for what the app really is. Because YES, THE APP SUCKS. That's my point, I paid for something not convenient at all, there are so many bugs, it's not even enjoyable to use, and where did the quizzes go ???

Overpromises, pushes you to pay with a meaningless "30 min half price", and then under delivers. The concept is good, but the execution is lacking. "Reading" goes too fast to actually read the text, having both texts at once is distracting and overall not as enjoyable as I'd have hoped. The flashcards' system doesn't make any sense to me and uses unexplained rules and symbols, list "premium" words i never asked for, overall just confusing. The app is laggy, in particular the horizontal scrolling of stories. The people reading stories have non-native accent, a weird rhythm, uneven speed, some words (in French) are mispronounced. They say "we have songs" and "we support many languages" but then I realized they had like 20 songs, in 2 languages. The "free" mode is unbearable with premium CTAs everywhere, I would not consider subjecting myself to this "for free" so I paid. I regret paying. I hope the app will improve and get more polished. For now i just regret thinking "hey, 20 €/year, that's cheap compared to Duolingo" … yeah, you kinda get what you pay for. I'd be happy to update this review once the app improves. As it is now, I would not recommend it to a friend

The concept sounded great. But most of the stories are paying (or only part 1 is free). For those who are free, it seems somewhat glitchy: the sound and the highlight are not timed properly. So I am definitely not convinced to purchase anything further. 😕

A great idea but the pronunciation feature is awful. I could scream into my phone and it still wouldn't pick up the full word or phrase. I spoke as clearly as possible but still no. Then it stopped detecting my microphone altogether. The flashcards stopped syncing to the practice page after I'd completed new story parts. App needs work before I consider paying for it..

Opened the app and was immediately disgusted by the amount of shortcuts used with AI. If the app is so cheaply made how can I guarantee that I'm actually getting accurate translations? I'm going to stick with Duolingo because at least that feels like it has a multilanguge team behind it, instead of this. Beelingua feels like a couple of people with Google translate and chatgpt are in desperate need of a few coins.

The library content is awful. I was hoping for some good fiction, instead it's a small collection of fables and fairy tales. Literally not something most adults will want to read. The library needs to contain real books that people actually want to read. I cancelled my trial within 10 mins and was offered premium for half price. Sorry, but even if this was a free app, I'd uninstall it. Unless you want to read terrible literature, do yourself a favour and give this a miss!

I was using the free trial to update later premium for good, but it just has plenty of bugs. Sometimes the reading doesn't work or doesn't show the meanings. It has potential but you need to work on it first.

Interesting language learning app. I find this language app fun and easy to use. I highly enjoy the stories are simple and easy to read in the language I am trying to learn. My only complaint is I wish it would be easier to switch between learning two or more languages. I am trying to study Korean and Spanish and having separate stories or something would make it more enjoyable.
