Addons Detector detects addons used by your installed applications. It has all the tools to find push notification ads, popup ads and icon ads.

If you are looking for the app that uses AirPush or other push notifications, you can easily find the app and uninstall.

If you are getting popup ads on your device, make sure to read the help text inside the app. It explains how to get rid of them.

Besides push notifications, using this app is a great way to see what advertising agencies apps use, and what tools they have integrated.

*** Known issues ***
Samsung Galaxy 3 keeps talking to me when on my home screens saying folder is open or similar.
This seems to be an ICS/Samsung bug. It happens for some people and also with other apps that use the accessibility service such as Tasker, Light Flow and others.

Try to fix it:
Samsung S3: - Go to Settings -> Accessibility -> Talkback "ON" - Select "Settings" from the bottom of the page - Uncheck all Talkback options - Switch Talkback "Off" again - Go back to Settings -> Application manager -> All - Disable Google TTS (text to speech) - Disable Samsung TTS (text to speech)

I tried malware apps, adware cleaners and an antivirus app, but only this detector not only discovered and told me how to get rid of the cause, it also provides lots of detailed information for people like me that like to know about the apps on my phone! Its one of the must have android app for me. I would love to have one additional feature - I won't even mind to pay for that particular feature. The app detects all problematic programs and provides option to remove them. It would have been great if the removal feature can be automated. The user can mark a particular problematic app for automatic removal and whenever in future, that app gets detected on scan, "Addons Detector" will automatically remove it. I'm really looking forward to have this feature in its future release.

I was getting constant popup ads while trying to make calls or send messages. These ads were super annoying as they would appear on a paid ad free version of Alarm Clock as well. Addons Detector found the App that was causing this. I haven't had a single popup ad for days now. Looks like my phone is finally useable once again.

Brilliant app. Why has live scanner stopped working after the last update? It is activated but does not highlight anything when an app is loaded or updated. Good to see you recognised the problem. Looking forward to the results. Now working again. Quick response. Not fixed yet.

had high hope for this app but it couldn't find the malware that was infecting me with popads. I undownloaded all the apps it told me with the tags android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW debut popups still continued. I'm sure it's a useful app for figuring out what apps have certain permissions but it didn't not help with identifying the malware

I installed this app because of my concerns with the amount of spying on cell phones. Unfortunately it has been running in the background 99% of the time. When I try to stop it, it only stays stopped till I close the window and then restarts. It has some reallt cool options but is useless for me. Uninstall

I'm learning my phone, and appreciate this app! You can choose each item and it tells you if you should worry or not, the wording is very easy you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand. If you need help, and email them and in a short time your email is answered, very commendable.
