The site mapper allows SolarEdge installers to streamline the registration of a new system by mapping its physical layout in the SolarEdge cloud-based monitoring platform.This application is integrated with the SolarEdge monitoring platform and enables the following functionality:
• Simple onsite registration of new systems.
• Creation, editing and on-site verification of system physical layout.
• Scanning and assigning SolarEdge power optimizer serial number to the right location in the system physical layout.
• The scanning can be done by utilizing the mobile device’s integrated camera or with an external Bluetooth connected scanner.
• Working off-line with no data connection. The data is stored locally on the mobile device and allows data synchronization with the SolarEdge monitoring platform when data connection is available.

Can't edit the roof map. Can't view work done by other employees. If you get a new phone, system doesn't save across. Can't publish without inverter. Won't find the work site unless you're on location! FAIL FAIL FAIL Who wrote this app? You had one job! Seems like the same version to me. Still can't publish without inverter. Still can't find job site without being on location. Can't take faulty optimizer off roof map and add a new one without customer support. The list goes on and on. I love how user friendly the system is, but this app is the reflection of somebody's limited abilities.

App used to work fine with a few issues that could be put up with (such as not being able to disable the beeping after scanning each barcode). Now it doesn't work at all and the camera won't come on. Good idea for an app, terrible execution. Edit: Yes, I've got the newest update. 6/17/21 Update: the app now refuses to open any site. The only fix seems to be clearing the cache and data for the app, which then requires logging back in and going through the entire tutorial every single time.

Good idea, terribly implemented. Hopefully they fixed this in an update, but I tried mapping a site in this app and it assigned all the optimizers under an "unknown inverter". Now on the desktop site I can't assign them to the correct inverter because it says the optimizers are already assigned. Mapping the optimizer serials is super buggy too, but it looks like they may have addressed it in an update.

Not bad, but solaredge apps need a complete overhaul. They really need an installer and owner app and leave it at that! If you build a site on the web designer tool, it does not transfer over to the site mapper app, and vice versa. Secondly, i cannot activate an account and register an owner until i get back to the office, or more embarassingly i must sign into a private browser session on the customer computer to associate their web account. And more... Just start over!

The app will sit there and load for literally hours when you publish a site. Then when you close the app to retry it deletes the whole map. I've spent days pulling up already laid panels just because of this useless app. The thing is a more then worthy replacement is a pizza box with the qr stickers on it. At this point I don't even use it. I'll stick to my cardboard and marker while you guys send out updates that fix nothing. It's been about 3 years now and I've seen no improvement.

I'm very impressed by the neural network artificial intelligence that's seemingly implemented in this app. The app learns and adapts quickly to my work patterns and the UI is extremely easy to use. Almost everything works well and seamlessly and saves time. The QR scanner is fast. The only drawback is, there are lengthy pauses of display of image from the camera while the device is scanning, which makes it difficult to keep the camera pointed at the barcode

Communication error is all I get when i try to publish..... first time trying to set up remote monitoring and this isn't tasting very well.... optimizers are all scanned, inverters are all scanned, the system is officially turned on and producing but my customer can't view monitoring and neither can I, as promised.... what's the point of the app if it doesn't work? And what's the point of a monitoring platform if I'm not even able to get through the setup process??

it's the best option i have to scanning the barcodes without having to type them. 3 issues are 1 being the camera squishes itself when I start typing and bring up my keyboard. 2, scanning is very sensitive that I have to maneuver the camera in a very weird way if I need to scan barcodes that are next to each other. 3, whenever I use the app for the first time in a while, it gets stuck at the loading screen when a system/site is selected. I usually have to restart the app and it loads in 1-2 secs
