I am giving this app 1 star because it is just a big money grab and a scam. I paid a buy in and a "membership" fee. I ended up losing 13 pounds and winning the bet. along with about 66%of the other people. I was expecting a decent payout but I ended up losing 2 dollars over all. dietbet took more than 25%of the pot and left everyone else at a loss. and when it was time to payout no one would contact me back. jist a big rip off!

Good experience overall. Entered two contests and won. The comingling with waybetter is confusing at best and manipulative at worst. You don't need to pay the monthly subscription to enter dietbet contests.

Don't bother with this, you won't actually win anything. In one of their biggest games of the year with a supposed "5k bonus" added to the pot, diet bet took such a huge portion that the winners only won $3, which if you buy the membership means we technically lost money. Absolute scam 😒

Dietbet takes up to a 25% cut of the pot BEFORE winnings are calculated. This means if you pay $40 to enter a contest where there is a pot of $134,000 and 2310 people win, you will win $43.50. The only winning you're basically guaranteed is your money back. As with all gambling, the house always wins.

Loved dietbet. Has been helpful in the past. Don't recommend it anymore since they started stealing users money. You put a specific amount of money in the pot. The pot grows by that amount of money. If you win, you split the pot of money. At this point, they start calling it points, so they can then say money "expire" and they can take the money. That said, they will give it back if you ask. Not trying to get a class-action on themselves...

The whole idea of dietbet is amazing but this app sucks. it is definitely not user friendly, and it's sometimes confusing to use. It works, but it's just not as easy to use as i hoped it would be. otherwise I love everything about dietbet. I'm in 3 different ones right now, and did my first one a few months ago. it's a great way to start yourself off on being healthy.

The old app version was soooooo much better! The new one lags, doesn't list how much is needed to lose to reach your goal, you can no longer filter posts to read just yours or just the host, etc. Overall, you should have just left things the way they were, which was great! This new version, well, it stinks!

Great way to keep focused on losing weight, even during the holidays. I'm not to my ultimate weight yet, but getting closer is better than the alternative! It has surprised me how betting on myself has had such a positive impact. The risk of losing a little money shouldn't be the motivation, getting healthier should be enough. But for me, the thought of losing my bet has helped more than I thought to keep me on track. And the amount weight loss is consistent and not too fast. Love this!👍
