App needs updated badly. App will freeze opening from notifications, and now the app won't scroll up or down on any story. Can only exit the app.

When I'm using a VPN to securely connect to the internet this app tells me I'm not connected to the internet and blocks my access to the stories I want to read. This is the ONLY app which does this. How I connect to the internet is none of your business. Please fix it.

Way 2 many ads and long ads at that. Heck I couldn't even keep my attention because of the long adds. At least put a few paragraphs we can read while the ads are goin.
