Mentor DDP by eDriving℠ is an app for drivers of Distribution and Delivery Partners around the world. Mentor helps you improve your driving by measuring your driving behaviors, providing actionable feedback, helping you to develop safer driving habits that can be sustained over time. Changing behavior and habits is hard work, as anyone knows who has attempted to modify their diet or exercise routine. But Mentor can help you make key changes in driving habits, one trip at a time, by:

• Identifying “at-risk” behaviors including Harsh Acceleration, Hard Braking, Harsh Cornering, Phone Distraction, and Speeding

• Measuring and rewarding changes in behavior

• Providing engaging 3-5-minute micro-training modules to help encourage behavior change

Why is this needed? The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has identified the main cause for crashes: Drivers! An NHTSA study found that 94% of crashes were caused by drivers’ actions which reflect their attitudes and behaviors, NOT by skill gaps or an inability to drive. Increasingly, driver distraction is contributing to more collisions and incidents than ever before – both mental distraction (thinking about something other than driving) and physical distraction (interacting with a phone). And it’s getting worse! Over the last two years, the rate of increase in road fatalities rose to levels unseen in the past 50 years.

As others have mentioned the battery usage is just unacceptable for an app that has to run in the background for 7-8 hours non stop without allowing battery optimization. The calculation of the scores is a big problem as well, for 1 "hard acceleration" event you lose a week of perfect driving points. You need to understand that at certain times you have to accelerate hard, such as when merging onto a fast road from a slow one. Hard braking also happens not necessarily because of a drivers fault.

Definitely not accurate! It always gives me phone manipulation even though I don't touch it! It doesn't matter you do 90 good events, but with just 2 bad events you've got 3 stars and this kills your points (score) I understand location, physical activity, and even phone calls but why do I have to give the app permission to manage all the files and the media in my phone!? It's ridiculous!

Inaccurate, terrible customer service... Used this app almost a year now. Last few days recording short trips, though it knows where I've been on its map, and my log in and out times. Customer service seem only to send a generic response blaming my phone settings. Absolutely no relevant response to questions posed. Have informed manager at all stages, and hope the company abandons it soon. Very good at answering it works, but terrible when I point out it doesn't. 🤣

Seems to penalise your movements, as distractions, when walking as well as driving. The drainage on the battery is unbelievable. Even when I've played games, streamed a movie & used social media, I've never used more than 70% in a 24hr period. Now I go below 50% within 3hrs. For us that are forced to use it for our jobs, the battery drainage issue, really needs to be sorted. I give it 1*, simply because I can see there could be huge benefits from the app but those benefits seem to be years away.

Unpredictable App. Gives you wrong scouring most of the time. May be it could be good for taxi drivers. But not in courier line. Also it's clearly data protection act breach in UK and most companies force you to use this app for their convenience with or without knowing that this app can access phone camera, files/data, photos/Videos and location even when you are offline. App owner can't justify unnecessary access to your phone location and data. Bad spy app.

Ok, let me be more specific ... if my phone is connected all the time on Bluetooth car or Bluetooth headset and I drive, the app register I speak on the phone when I'm driving... but I don't use the phone.... PS If I had been the only one who would have given 1 star and I would not have been satisfied, I would probably have been considered crazy, but when the reviews of this app are 2.1 stars out of 5, then it is good to do something with this application....

Congratulations! To the inventor of this app, a toast! Who would ever believe that inventing something that ruins delivery experience and phone battery at the same time will become so successful? Congratulations, cheers to that! All for a spam call during route to check driving attention. Nice, I bet universities looking for you for your genius. Forcing the driver to accept Location permission at all times when it's not necessary and forcing the phone to close Power saving at the same time! Nice
