App does not work in the background. I have a paid license. The Windows version is good. But this Android version needs to be run before it starts checking for new emails. ------- (Responding to dev's responsel): This is a very poor answer. Others email clients on Android are doing it just fine. Like Bluemail which I'm using. It's the basic function of an email client to run in the background and let you know when there's new emails. You cannot figure out how to make it works and blame the OS.

The app looks polished, but it isn't working well in the background. Sometimes my inboxes update to reflect changes on the servers, and sometimes they don't - even requiring multiple manual refreshes before the message list updates. Most weirdly, there occasionally have been messages that just won't delete; I have to remove the account and add it back to get rid of the "undeletable" emails. Integration with Gmail settings is great - but the inbox has been frustrating.

Buggy and unreliable, email notifications pop up but when selecting them "message cannot be found" appears until the app is force closed and reopened. Additionally, sending a mail may not work until the app is force closed and reopened.. then "message sent" is displayed - before this there is no hint that the email is queued to be sent or why it didnt send, I have to manually check my sent items each time I send a mail.

Email clients are really tough, and that's not only about RFCs and underlying technology. The UI is crucial. The future set is critical. And at the risk of going to be overboard, one can look at the future set options and workflow in an email client and get a really good sense of what type of user of email will developers are. I'm impressed on all points!

The widget is slow, and often doesn't load the mail correctly or loads a different mail. Widget only displays 10 mails instead of being able to scroll. When going back from an opened mail you expect to return to your inbox, not to a different inbox, and not to another email from a different inbox. All in all not a great experience. I use the eM Client desktop app and love it. The mobile client still needs a lot of work. Tried it for several months, but now back to Bluemail.

Getting worse not better. A tremendous disappointment seeing how the desktop version is slick. The iPad version is better than this. Dropped the ball on this version. At this point the Android version is still Still pretty much junk. Can't scroll, sync is problematic, junk gets thrown in with legit mail even though blacklisted in desktop client. iPad version like something that came out of a coding class. Embarrassingly bad. Desktop is great. Go figure.

App doesn't run in the background. In order to get emails, I have to log into the app to retrieve them. Cannot use it. I even did the battery optimization thing but yet the emails just don't come through. I use the Windows version and it's perfect. I just wish I can use this one as well

Disappointing Experience with eM client. Unfortunately my experience as well as My colleagues experience has been plagued with issues. The app is not functioning properly, and it's affecting my productivity. I've noticed that sent emails are not appearing in my sent folder. Also app always show's that I am Offline. The app is slow to respond, and it takes a long time to load emails, compose new messages, and send replies. Please Guide us For better Experience.
