Why don't you say you need root!

I updated my Nexus 5 to Android 5.0 and the app seems broken, with my XBOX One gamepad connected through USB OTG. When I press "Joy>" or "J>T" I get the message "Can not get access to '/dev/input'. Please install Custom Rom with root rights." which is absurd since I am rooted with the latest SuperSU updated. Please fix this, since this app is too awesome and it's a shame not to work with the latest Android version.

Tried the instructions here for ps3 and 4. Most I got was 2 buttons working. Can't figure out how to program the remote and as far as I can tell it's still wired to the phone, NOT wireless. I've messaged the devolper about a month ago and still heard nothing. ...... Another month with nothing. So many settings and can't seem to get either controller to work properly with any game. BULLSH1T!

This is the perfect app for using any sort of HID controller, when it works. (i use the gametel in HID gamepad mode) Its very temperamental and twice it has caused my home button to be changed to work like a home key on a keyboard instead of going to the home screen, i just reflashed the phone to fix it but its a hassle. 5 stars this the problems are fixed.

This suite is the definitive way to set up even the most niche controllers. At first, driver programming can be difficult, and is further hindered by the weak documentation (especially the byte filter), but, once learned, the app works perfectly. The one caveat is the awful GUI, which seems to be scaled for tablets, though, is barely workable on smartphones. Despite the shortcomings, it's still the best controller solution by far

This app really working as it should. Its easy to setup and works with any touch game besides point&click of course. It save automatically button configurations for many game(if some app stopped recognise configuration just press once you assigned 'touch edit' button). I have tested this with Dual Shock 4 on Galaxy S5(KK4.4.2) with custom kernel(SE set to permissive) and of course rooted. Why the app is no more paid? I want to donate :-)

I have an Nvidia Shield Tablet, rooted, etc, now I get Cannot Access \dev\uinput error everytime I hit HID, which I need for the ps3 controller to work (using it via SixAxis Controller) on Shield games. It worked okay before 5.0, but now it doesn't work at all.
