The app was good for quick event ticket purchases, but nothing else. The unofficial app was infinitely more useful for everything else. The main screen also makes it seem like you haven't logged in yet, even after you have. Also, it seems to pull your payment information from their database. While it doesn't appear to store it locally, be aware of that fact.

Could be so much better. Lets you search and browse events pre Con, but does not let them add them to your wish list like you can on the website. also seems like you have to re-authenticate way too frequently. Seems to be using my biometric authentication but not using that to store my password so I have to do both biometric authentication and username and password.

It's less than a week to GenCon and the app is unusable for my most common use cases. You need to sign in each time you open it, searching the map takes you to 404 errors (after which you're prompted to sign in again!), and event search is a dart throw if it will let you actually enter your search term or not. I can't rely on the app, so I guess I'll go heavy on print outs and use the web as needed

Awful User Interface It's been a few years since I've attended Gencon, and I swear the app was awesome back then, but now it's constantly closing, and it's almost impossible to use the search tools because 1) it's nearly impossible to click the tiny icon and 2) they've added ao many "cool" animations to it that my screen bounces around every time I try to do something. I'm hoping the schedule tool will still be useful.

The Good: Provides an "at a glance" listing of your events in chronological order, which is amazingly helpful. Tapping an event here brings up details for that event. In-app maps of the convention center and surrounding locales. Search for events and purchase tickets immediately. Electronic version of a chopped up GEN CON program. Messages. I suppose easy instant messaging to your friends is nice, but kind of redundant with the ubiquitous nature of SMS. The Bad: Still a work in progress. "At a glance" agenda only shows building the event is in (e.g. ICC, Hyatt, etc.), but not the location within that building. Have to sign in each time you close it, or switch to another app (though it does remember your username and password).

It's as if you made an app, just to be able to tell people you have an app! I'm not even sure how it can be actually worse than the website for Gen Con, but you get points for that. Every time I navigate the app, I get a message saying I need an update. Go to search for an event which you have to be in the event tab to use, It brings up said event. However, you can't even add it to the cart or schedule! Lol w h a t!?

It says it needs an update, but there's no update to be had. It's not working correctly. You can't use the search function correctly, 9 out of 10 times, it won't bring your keyboard up to allow typing in the search bar. Really bad app, considering Gencon is just a week out.

I have to log in everytime that I open the app. It also says that there's an update available, but when I check, it says that it's updated. Lastly, when I try to search for locations on the Map, an error message pops up which might be related to the "nonexistent" update.
