I love the idea of Goodreads and the website itself is fine, but this has to be one of the poorest functioning apps I've ever used. It makes no sense considering they've had YEARS to figure it out. It's constantly non responsive, crashing, signing me out, etc. I swear half the time it just doesn't load a single thing.

Unfortunatly, it is the most used book review web-site / app. Appart from the bugs and the nonfonctionnal fonctions. You can't put half stars, recommendation along with shown books are just based on sales, and the goal clients of it are the young readers and the so-called profesionnal who talks too much to say nothing. So the books are seen as pure bottomless products, the "most read" and the ratings are usually out of the real quality, and the books put to light are always the same ones.

Mediocre experience. This app is very clunky. I use it mainly to read book reviews. The page constantly goes back to top in the middme of an action and pressing 'read more' opens a new page. This is terrible, it's just text, load it completely and paginate the reviews ffs. And when you press back, the bloody thing takes you back to the top of the review page. Terrible.

Ive been on this app for a few years now but am getting ready to transfer all my books to another book tracker. There are a lot of issues with this app aside from not being user friendly. Recently I've had books added to my list that just disappear from good reads altogether. To enter giveaways, I am asked to log in again, and it still doesnt work. It is impossible to add friends unless on the website itself. If you are looking for a book tracker, this isn't it, at least not right now.

This app has been great for keeping me on track with what I want to read, what I'm currently reading, and what I've read. However, this app is NOT user-friendly. It is not easy to find friends, groups (for example, Reese's Book Club... or any book club for that matter), also people & authors I want to follow. This app really has SO MUCH potential, but it falls flat. I will continue to use it, but I wish I could do all the things book related with it. 😔

I would have said that Goodreads was a great app, however it has been on a decline for some time. We can't have the option of half and quarter star ratings, we have had the option of adding editions ourselves taken off us, editions are added without page counts or with incorrect information and requests are taking longer and longer to be dealt with. The only things I like about this app are startes and finished dates and the social element.

The app is great. There needs to be an addition on the update status. When you go to update the books your currently reading it only asks for page number or percent number. That's great for ebooks and physical, but there's no chapter option for audio books. Having a chapter read option would also be great for those of us who read manga and manwha that comes out weekly.

Works as advertised & intended on my Verizon S22U. That said, why doesn't the app have search history like every other on the planet? If I wanna search for a book that I'd already looked up, I gotta type it all out again. I mean, it's not like it's PHYSICALLY difficult or anything, but there's a reason EVERYONE has the feature. Thank you for all the hard work and (mostly) timely updates. Speaking of, 8/21/24–Thank you so much for dark mode, but now the app freezes for 5 sec every time I open it!
