I have been back and forth with Google support about the dumbest issue. When I use the Google TV app it suggests that I watch certain programs. Some of the programs it suggests it says are on Showtime. Showtime doesn't exist anymore. Paramount plus has taken over the Showtime content. When I click on one of those programs it takes me to the Showtime app which doesn't exist anymore. Fix it! Google. I suggest you clear your cache or do a factory reset on your servers. I have spent hours on this.

Too expensive for the available streaming apps & live TV... I mean c'mon a WiFi monthly service bill is cheaper than this Google TV app. Now maybe if you incorporate some perks into a bundle package including Wi-Fi and Security surveillance setup. Now that would be awesome. It would also let your customers know that you actually have them in your best interest first and foremost. Thanks! 👍🏻

Can't purchase movies or shows on Google TV anymore without subscribing to outside apps like sling, Hulu, etc. I mean either way it costs, but i like to have the options to purchase my shows and movies themselves. If i want to use those apps I just go to that app(sling, hulu) itself. What's the point of having the Google TV app if you can't watch or purchase through Google tv if you want to? They're always changing something that need not be changed. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Every time I get stupid enough to update an app..... Used to work flawlessly as a means to locate free streaming versions of movies. Now when you begin to type in the search box the app crashes. Google even tells you it crashed because of a bug. Since Android stupidly does not include the ability to roll back an update, it is entirely understandable why users would keep old versions of apps. When it WORKS, it also allows you to watch purchased content as well. Hopefully Google will fix.

The app works fine, but in the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium it's often unusable because so many movies are only available with French dubbed audio. Like the Netherlands, and unlike France, we don't have a tradition of dubbing foreign films, we watch them in the original language with subtitles. We certainly do not watch them with dubbed audio in a language that isn't even our own.

The app often crashes and struggles to connect to Chromecast regularly. We've purchased all our movies and tv shows on this app and it's a big let down when we can't throw on what we want, especially the kids movies. These issues have been on going for years. It was much better when the app was an all-in-one with Google Play, not that it functioned that well then either. We rarely have these issues with Netflix, Prime, etc.

I love the movies available on this app but it would be helpful if they played! Today I purchased 'The Fallout' to watch but i kept getting an error message, FINALLY got it to play but it wouldn't cast to my TV, would only play on my phone and only at full volume (I couldn't adjust the volume on my phone, nor connect my Bluetooth ear buds. Incredibly frustrating. *Because I left the app, it now won't play again 😑

I've purchased streaming rights (via Google) for many movies. I had to cast my current movie from my phone to watch it on my TV (couldn't use Chromecast remote). I paused the TV, then, I spent 20 minutes trying to press play and arrived here.. The error message says, specifically, that I cannot play it on my Chromecast device, but it was already playing.. I could have been nearly half-way through the movie by now. Consider this a cautionary tale against purchasing streaming rights from Google.
