Datatool is a Thatcham insurance industry approved GPS/GLONASS/GSM based tracking and theft notification service designed specifically for scooters and motorcycles but now with Journey History and G-Sense impact detection.Datatool activates automatically as soon as the ignition is switched off and monitors the bike for signs of unauthorised movement. If movement is detected without the ignition being switched on and the bike is moved away from where it was parked, Datatool will enter full alert mode and notification will be sent to the dedicated 24/7/365 TrakKING Monitoring Team.
In the event of a suspected theft, the Datatool Monitoring Team will contact the owner immediately and if a theft is confirmed, will liaise with the Police on the owner’s behalf to aid recovery.
The Datatool app allows owners to view the location of their vehicle(s), view journey history, enable the G-Sense alert crash detection, manage account details and communicate directly with the Datatool Monitoring Team.
Please note:
This app requires the Datatool system to be installed on the motorcycle or scooter by an authorised dealer or mobile installer. Please visit https://www.datatool.co.uk/dealer-locator/ to find your nearest dealer.
Early Warning Movement Text Alerts configuration will be added to the app via an upcoming update.

App works fine, for those with issues I'd consider contacting their support. Mine wasn't working and after contacting them they pushed an update to the unit on my bike and it's worked flawlessly since. Without the firmware update your bike won't be trackable.

Works fantastic with the S5. My only slight gripe is that I would like the tracking arrows to be more aligned with the actual roads. But apart from that, it works great 👍

This app doesn't work very well, you can press the refresh button and nothing happens, it still thinks the ignition is off when it's on and vise versa, the movement sensor is a waste of time, I dont know how far it has to be moved for it to work but surely a few meters from its registered position should count as movement yet I get no notification, hopefully the monitored tracking there end works better than this app, hopefully I never have to find out but it doesn't give me much confidence

Doesn't show current location. Considering the price of this and the cost of yearly subscription of over £100, you would think they could get an app that actually works. The journey history is inaccurate and it currently shows my bike being two streets away from where it is. Hopefully if my bike is ever stolen they will be able to track it but I don't have much faith given inaccuracies I've seen. Datatool, please do something about it.

It works OK, with bugs. Sometimes the live tracking doesn't update properly even if you tap the refresh icon, restarting the app will get it working again. Apparently the bike was parked for 4 hours when i knew it was on a journey. Also, the Journey destination flag locations are grossly wrong, not anywhere close to where the ignition was switched off.

had this tracker fitted as it came with a deal on the ATV. Since the 8 months I've had it I can't believe how well they keep an eye on it, I've received 2 calls now asking if I was aware the battery had been disconnected and it was being moved without the ignition on.. Luckily it was me but it does really fill me with confidence that if it does go missing we can get it back. Also the app is accurate and tells me everything I need to know. Keep up the good work guys 👍

Figured out how to change the password by trying the web app as I couldn't do it on on the Android app. I did have problems with always being asked for a pin but that's gone away now! There doesn't seem any way of exiting the app; I have to forcibly swipe it closed. I understand that pressing the home button will return to my home screen but that's not exiting the app. Normally the back button would take you out of an app so that's odd behaviour. Journey info, parking location seems really good so pleased with that side. Also, excellent response from Scorpion when I left this review so thumbs up for that!
