MITA develops your child’s imagination and language functions. The visual exercises follow a systematic approach for developing your child's ability to notice multiple features of an object. MITA starts with simple exercises that teach your child to attend to only one feature, such as size (screenshot #1) or color (#2). Over time, the exercises get more difficult and require your child to attend to two features simultaneously, such as both color and size (#3). Once your child has practiced attending to two features, the program moves on to puzzles that require attending to three features, such as color, size and shape (#4), and then eventually to puzzles that involve attending to an ever-increasing number of characteristics.
The verbal exercises offer a more conventional approach to language acquisition, starting with simple vocabulary, and progressing towards higher forms of language, such as adjectives, prepositions, and syntax.
MITA is designed for early childhood and intended for long-term, daily use. It is engaging and educational, as well as adaptive and responsive to the individual abilities of each child. MITA exercises can be used by children with language delay, ASD, PDD, intellectual and developmental disability (IDD), Down syndrome, and other neurodevelopmental disorders as a supplement to conventional speech therapy.
MITA is developed by Dr. A. Vyshedskiy, a neuroscientist from Boston University; R. Dunn, a Harvard-educated early-child-development specialist; MIT-educated, J. Elgart and a group of award-winning artists and developers working alongside experienced therapists.

This app has a bug where, ever so often it reverts to the free version and asks if you want download your settings from the cloud , that doesn't work so you have to reinstall and then download your settings . I changed device and download from amazon and put in my information it said it would charge me but it did so I have two running subscriptions to the same app. I don't know which one to cancel to save my son's progress Update ..the issue was with the play store love this app

The skill building aspect of this app is fantastic. My son stays engaged for the entire program I have set up (10 stations). The issue I have is with the ending. He is working hard because he loves the coloring reward at the end. However, as a child on the spectrum, he likes things to be just so. The coloring app is more frustration than fun, as there is no eraser, or even an option to paint in white. Please consider working on this so the end can continue to be a reward.

Love the app. The app itself is great and my son loves it. We were subscribed on an iPad and now are on Samsung. So two issues - the first being that subscriptions couldn't be moved. The second is that the price through Google is 5 times higher than we were playing and way out of our range for a yearly subscription. So I will let him enjoy the free features for as long as he can.

Frustrating for a toddler. She can't help but touch the screen with the hand holding the phone. Or she accidentally grabs the notification bar. I wish they was a way to lock it into the app so that she wouldn't keep inadvertantly turning it off. We were trying it on a phone but I'm going a tablet with a bully case would make it easier to hold without touching the screen. But I was hoping to try it out a bit before spending so much money on something that might not work for us.

Could you change the exit method. When I pin the app (to stop my child exiting the app) they tap the x and tap again to confirm (he likes to press all buttons). At this point the app gets stuck in a state of trying to close but can't (pinned) but also doesn't allow any other buttons to be pressed, effectively making it so I have to unpin the app and re-pin every time (which is often with my child). Can the adult access questions also be made harder (child has started to know multiplication)

Goodness, this app is awesome!!! It'll be the best money you ever spent on therapy. My son can barely talk, autistic, 5, just a few words, but he's been doing MITA for 2 months now, and he's started saying words as he selects the correct option on the app. He is actually THINKING... and realising when he gets it right. It's been so good for his self confidence, he's learning colours, counting, vocab, sizes etc!! Edit: He’s now turned 6 after MITA for one year he is speaking in short sentences!!!

I have seen some noticeable improvements in my sons receptive language skills after using this app daily for about 1 year. Generalization, however, does seem to be a challenge; he demonstrates an understanding of concepts such as prepositions etc in the app, but is slower to do so in other settings. I'm hoping skill generalization just takes a little bit longer. Also, if you purchase on Google Play, there is no way to transfer to an Apple device afterwards, if you switch your device. You have to purchase again.
