Update: Oct2024 App does not work anymore. There have been "updates" over the years but each makes the app worse. It "requires" file permissions that don't exist, GPS access which is not needed, and cannot keep track of amp hours anymore. The software stops the effective use of the hardware. Fail.

Constant crashing on Pixel 9 Pro. Used to at least be functional, with some "personality" in translation and function. Now, I cannot get to the point of seeing any BMS status info, much less and configuration parameters. This product could really fit a good niche if the app can be significantly improved.

Every update shows us a new and unique way for this app to crash. It crashes constantly. Sometimes it'll update and then start crashing in a way I've never seen before, and literally the only option is to wait for another update, which might fix that crash, but will probably just crash some other way. This app is the sole reason I am switching my battery's physical hardware BMS. Been struggling with this app for two years. I just can't take it any longer.

As of today (Jan 16 2023) the app will connect to the Bluetooth device but doesn't display any information. I've swapped out BT receivers and while the app sees them it does not display any information when connecting, I've plugged the BMS into my PC to verify it's still functioning, I have also charged and discharged the battery though the BMS with no change. Before this the app had improved a good amount from where it was when I started using, but is now completely broken.

I just finished putting together a 8S 24V 170 AH LFP pack with Daly 200A 8S BMS. I plugged in the temperature sensor, the balance leads, the light box, and Bluetooth device in that order and pushed the button on the light box and everything woke up. Downloaded the app, and it immediately found the pack and came right up. I can't find any fault with it, I just had to change one AH setting. Password is 1 2 3 4 5 6. Location services is an Android req. for BT, not Daly.

This app is just OK. It definitely could be better, but it is usable since I also have a battery monitor shunt which also provides BMS information. The "Average volt" reading is incorrect. It always measures lower than the "Minimum volt" reading. Also, it would be nice if all of the parameter settings could be set to the full resolution shown on the display. Several of these settings get truncated and cannot be set to the full resolution. The application is constantly getting disconnect.

It tells me I have to give the app permission for file read/write. Go to so settings and there is no option for that, microphone, camera, Bluetooth, ECT.... The app works ok otherwise, but the device leaves a lot to be desired. It shuts off at random for me (500a 16s unit) and does not say why. I will be replacing this part of my system. Daly has left me unimpressed to put it politely.

Documentation sucks, and like one other gentleman stated, the Chinese to English translation sucks, and I have one unit that will not stay connected for even one minute, and my phone comes up with a message saying that the smart BMS app keeps stopping, but it only does it when connected to that one BMS??? I actually heard that the DALY BMS's were supposed to be one of the best ones, if that's the case, boy I sure hope I never encounter one of the worst ones!!!!
