Ipsos MediaCell can only be used by invitation and is solely for eligible opted-in participants of Ipsos market research activities.Ipsos MediaCell is a market research application which measures what you’ve been watching on TV and listening to on the radio. You will become part of shaping the future of media. Instead of filling in time-consuming and awkward paper diaries to record your media habits, the app does the work for you!
At no point will your individual information be ever shared with our clients, only the averages or aggregated data.
If you have been invited to participate, after installing the app, we’ll send you a unique registration code. Simply enter this code into the app, enable the prompted notifications and keep the app running in the background of the phone, then you are good to go!
In return, you’ll be rewarded with e-vouchers, and the longer you comply with our simple rules, the more rewards you can earn.
The Ipsos MediaCell app uses the device microphone to listen out for coded audio or to generate digital audio fingerprints to measure the TV or radio stations you are tuned to; it will never record any audio.

Although the App works in the background, any other phone activity (except phone calls) that need to use the microphone is disrupted - this is accepted. However, the App microphone on/off button is often still clunky, so turning the App off to, say, take a quick video clip, becomes an ordeal. It would be good to have a separate App mic on/off button that's always live on the phone home screen, to avoid having to open the App, then hit the microphone button, which sometimes struggles to respond.

The app sits in the background you hardly know it's there. It listens to the music you listen to, or are exposed to. Works very well The support team are brilliant, very quick to respond to issues Above all, uses minimal amount of power! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The app is not bad.Happy with monthly rewards. It's JUST THAT I HATE when it interferes with Audio and blocks one from sending Audio messages on watsapp. And sometimes it gives microphone permissions error messages even when permissions have been granted. Especially after a phone call.

I've never had any trouble with this app. It seems to get annoyed when I have audio playing, but I keep forgetting to pause it. The support team are very friendly and always get back to you if you have a problem.

The only problem I have with app is it appears to lose connectivity sometimes . Not being very technical I just click on the upload button again and it seems OK. Apart from that it works well

I've just updated my phone and this app seems to work much better on Android 13. It was previously using a lot of battery, but now I hardly notice it. No problems so far. Great communication with the team and they are always very helpful.

cool app, leave it running in the background, watch the bucks roll in! Only issue is that it suddenly stops listening for no good reason sometimes...

Absolutely awful. They want to control your phone and if you don't shut down the Internet app they bombard you with text messages saying their app can't pick up sound. Your device isn't your own they want to control you and your device. My advice DON'T install or participate. If you do they should pay far more than £10 per month for the hassle your gona get from them.
