Why Pay for Search?
Paying for your search engine ensures that its incentives align with your best interests, not those of advertisers. Do you want search results that provide the information you need, or content that advertisers want you to see?
Kagi Offers a Choice
All search engines incur costs, including those for search, development, and administration. Most cover these costs through advertising, tracking, and selling your data. For 25 years, there was no alternative. Kagi introduces a new model: pay for your search with your wallet. For just $5/month (Starter plan) or $10/month (Unlimited search plan), you can search with peace of mind, knowing the results are tailored to your best interests.

Kagi is a way better search engine than Google search has become, and I love all the filters and features I've been discovering. However, small complaint: when first opening the app, there is a brief load time with the splash page displayed. It's not much, but it's still slower than the native Google app, and makes it harder to get in the habit of choosing this app over Google when I want a quick answer. I'm on a Pixel 8 Pro so I don't think it's an issue of processing power.

Previously I probably would have thought paying for search was crazy, but I truly feel the quality of other search engines has been declining. No ads and being able to customize the search ranking of certain sites are probably the two greatest features. I did the cheapest plan to just try it out and almost immediately upgraded.

I wish the search experience was faster and more reliable. I like the results and ad free experience but usability is poor as an android app and searching from the widget. There's also no clear way to see search history , and often after clicking a result and going back the search resets. As it is, it's nearly unusable.

Would love to use the app. Except I can't log in. Any time I click SSO login with Google, I get routed to Google login, and once the login is completed I get into Kagi in my browser, instead of the app. The app is permanently stuck on the login screen. I tried Brave, Samsung Internet Browser, Firefox, Chrome. It's the exact same experience.

Difficult to handle multiple searches in succession due to lack of search history, forces you to use custom CSS if you want to opt out of its AI features, far too expensive for what it offers, and even then the search results just aren't that good.

Truly an amazing service. What I really miss though is a shortcut that would open search immediately without having to tap in the input field, like opening the app regularly.

I have an issue, hopefully someone here reads my message and fixes/adds this on Google pixel there is a built in search engine widget, where you type something in, click a link and it redirects you to your browser. you can also choose an alternative app to do it, like startpage or ddg. I can't however choose kagi, which is a real shame. if that worked I'm really willing to switch to kagi. much love!

Top service, excellent value for money. The assistant itself is worth the subscription and the search quality is icing on the cake. It's like good search engines used to be earlier.
