The bot is very helpful to practice listening and pronunciation. I can use my vocab I learn from other apps. However, I wish the feedback was less picky. It can be helpful, but when the feedback is "Don't forget a comma" or "capitalize this" when I am speaking, not typing (so how is that my fault?) is discouraging. I also would love a slow speed button on lessons. The recordings are too fast so I have to listen to them like 10 times. Gets tiring to listen to the sentence for just one word.

I almost bought a subscription for another app. I decided to look on Reddit to see if it was a good idea. While the other app was using scammy practices and poor AI, this app came up organically as an alternative. It's still AI, but I got the same level of insight as I had received hiring a tutor in University in ONE Spanish lesson! I've invested literal thousands in language learning but could never hold convos because of social anxiety and how bad I sound at the start. Bought lifetime.

This app is really good. There are occasions where the options that give me don't make any sense for the question asked and it leads me to getting the wrong answer, but this is rare. I find it so good for speaking practice, especially because I don't have anybody that I can talk to in Japanese. But it also highlights how far I have to go because my speaking is terrible

The ads are misleading, you are not "chatting" with a bot. There's also no way to unsubscribe from within the app. The entire experience starts off on the wrong foot by creating a feeling of "bait and switch". Beyond the bait and switch, this does not appear to bring much benefit beyond what one can already do with ChatGPT.

This app is amazing. I decided I need a new app as duolingo never understands what I say. But this app does. I needed an app to improve my gcse Mandarin speaking and it help me to do to just that. Also it gives you feedback on what to add to make your sentence much more structured and complex. Additionally it gives you daily topics that makes sense to reply to.

Tested it with different languages and found a few areas of improvement: 1. Not many languages have beginner level scenario/lessons. It would be nice to be consistent across the board. On the other hand, only one level of proficiency can be set for all languages. 2. Different variants of French to choose from, like in Spanish. 3. I took a Japanese lesson from a bot and more than once my responses appeared red but the explanation told me I was right. It was quite confusing. AI hallucinated?

Good app but there is no easy way to unsubscribe and avoid the annual recurring payment. Easy to pay but almost impossible to unsubscribe and stop them from charging you - had to do it through my bank. Clear instructions on how to cancel should be inlcluded on the Google play page for this app.

This app has great functionality but it keeps crashing midway when im doing the conversation speaking lessons. I'm using a galaxy s24 ultra so im not sure what's going on but it seems to be a bug. It's occurring when I'm speaking and it's capturing my voice. The app freeze crashes and then I loose all my progress.
