I've been using the app for a year. The learning model is great, but recently, several of the words I'm learning have the Chinese and pronunciation guide for the wrong word. It's very frustrating because I can't learn the words like this, and it makes the matching games impossible to play. Updated 2* to 1*. The app doesn't work. My learning track locked because one of the lessons is bugged. And starting a few days ago, the app switches to a white screen after it loads, so I cannot do anything.

The app is overall pretty good and I like the formats presented. There is a significant issue though. I just finished the "Getting Started" section of the voyage and now any time I try to go to the voyage view, the app crashes. That includes at the end of any lesson I'm doing and often the progress does not save after completing that lesson. This makes the app basically unusable.

Some of the written scripts are hard to see because of small font size. I only want to learn how to speak, but learning the written characters as well is slowing down my progress. It's still good though

There are a few errors in the app, wrong words, missing graphic. More importantly, it is essentially just vocabulary, no sentences, lacks meaningful connections to real experiences one might have in Hong Kong. Also, it should teach how to write characters, since memorizing the look of the characters without any attempt at writing them is really hard!

Crashes every time I try to change my language learning journey. Kangxi radicals 人 - 一is the current selection. Please go in my account and change it so the app stops crashing.

It's glorified flash cards. It's OK, but it doesn't explain the language at all. It's just pairings of pictures and words. There aren't many Cantonese apps and I guess I'm stuck with Premium for a year, so I'm going to keep trying with it. It's been difficult to retain words from this app and to make sense of the language. If you already know some Mandarin, it helps with understanding some of the sentence structure.

+ve: First couple of sessions seemed a brilliantly simple way of learning vocabulary. -ve: I expected new topics to keep bringing up already learned words so I didn't forget them. They don't seem to. This seems (a) essential and (b) easy to fix. No explanation of rising/falling tones etc. In Cantonese. Just written as numbers as if beginners were expected to know about them. "No grammar" is fine but what about when I want to build a sentence?

Overall, pretty good. Probably more useful when more categories are unlocked because it's easy to guess the correct answer and not actually know it. Cantonese is probably hard to learn grammar agnostic, but this seems OK for vocab. Using pimsleur to learn grammar. Some translations seem odd to my Cantonese wife. Needs a way to notify users when cards change or are updated. Looks like the dictionary feature doesn't work and leads to a 404 error.
