App is cool. Use it for work. As of recently the adjust users volume does nothing. Also this app is constantly popping back up over my other apps even when there is no transmission going on. Also when a transmission is received it should lower the volume of other apps playing. I have to pause my podcast Everytime to relisten to a message. Make it work like Google maps. I'll change rating when these issues are fixed.

Keeps changing status to BUSY on its own. I have it installed on my kids devices too, when we try to contact, its always busy. And we NEED ALWAYS be Available. So if i cant contact them real-time, & vice versa, then NVM with this. I ACTUALLY STOPPED to write a review bc it bothers me so. So much has changed and its ANNOYING. Auto-changing my settings is not helpful. No setting to disengage. Currently considering an alternative. Anyhoo, Zello was popping in 2014 tho. Good times. Good times. Iykyk

I love this app for a variety of reasons. 1. It works like a walkie talkie, but with completely unlimited range. 2. you can exit the app so that you don't receive messages. (this is GREAT especially if you are off the clock. ) 3. it records all of the messages. this is great when you work with the " i didn't say that" guy. you can LITERALLY hit a button and prove them wrong. (beware! if you say "i wanna bang the bosses daughter " someone else can hit a button and take your job!)

You guys need this app to work with a volume button or something while screen is off. It is type annoying that I have go back to the application to reply to someone. This option would be great for those that don't want to wear ear peice. [UPDATE] Zello emailed me with instructions I prefer to have a button to push with screen off but it's close to what I was looking for. I change my rating from 4 to 5 star. Very good app. No issues.

I've would pay (once, no subscription) for a version that doesn't have constant issues. But for the last few years I have often had to exit zello, or turn on and off airplane mode just to get messages to send -with several different phones over the years. And now, within the last month or so, zello completely disconnects after probably 30 seconds of my phone being locked, so I miss messages. Support doesn't respond to emails. Makes me very hesitant ever to spend on this app.

Excellent support. There appears to be a lot of flexibility with options, ways to use it. Although not 100% intuitive, support has bent over backwards to help me through questions over time, because I haven't spend full-time unearthing all the features. But I have been pleased with progress on each step. Sound is crystal clear.

Wanted to love this app, but there's no permanent way to disable autoplay? I can't have messages just playing out loud, but I don't want to put my phone on silent, and setting my status as "busy" only lasts til I send a message and it automatically switches right back to "available." I know the point is to emulate a walkie-talkie but there needs to be an option to disable this and only get notifications. I was hoping this would be like a more functional Voxer.

I love the app, but it's gotten bad. Whoever is making updates needs to be fired asap! It's glitching my phone.. I almost overslept and missed my alarm because the alarm wasn't ringing(smart watch woke me up..)because of zello. For some reason, the app keeps disabling my phones speaker... How do I know? I force stop the app, and suddenly, my alarm and sound work.. Not to mention all the Bluetooth and connectivity problems. This thing has developed over the past 3 months. Please fix this..
