The app became very bad after recent updates. I cannot see who is going on a meetup with me. I cannot see the events I registered for on a different device. I cannot click on user (it says unexpected error occurs). Some of this is behind pay wall but some are just bugs. Many organizers have left within the last couple weeks. The app went downhill so quickly, it's so sad.

The app is slow to load. Sometimes, I give up because it takes so long. Or it crashes. It will have errors messages. The sad part is, typically apps get better over the years but meet up app has gotten worst. Very annoying. Also loading your profile picture. If you delete an old one, it still may show up :( ... how can it get worse, we'll it did. Requesting money every time is crazy.

The ability to create and find local meetups is awesome and worth 2+ stars. But the app itself is buggy, frequently freezes or doesn't load, and they recently put many features behind paywall: seeing new ppl attending events (makes new ppl/events awkward not knowing name/face, maybe even dangerous), seeing groups ppl are in (makes discovery difficult). The paid user ad pops up Every.Single.Time you look at attendees and many other things. After 2min on the app I just got the popup 6 times.

I like the idea of Meetup, but the app has gotten worse and worse over the years. Bugs, slow performance and putting more and more features behind a paywall, and now, the final indignity: Every time you try to look at event RSVPs, it forces up an add for premium. Every. Single. Time. I'm an event host and need to check who's coming, and I now have a pop-up every time I do. Honestly, I'd delete the app if I weren't a host: I already have the events I go to, so I don't need to use the app.

Awful. A lot of basic features have been removed from the free accounts, and the constant popups begging you to subscribe are making the app borderline unusable. Most recently, they stopped allowing you to see the attendees list of events you're a member of, which makes it impossible for people to safely identify who to look out for when arriving at the event. Most of my local groups have left the platform because of the constant drastic pricing increases. It's becoming a paywalled ghost town

Continual disappointment every time there are changes to the app, and especially in recent drastic changes along with gouging price increases and membership structure/monetization. An all new low for Meetup. User experience is clearly not driving decisions within this organization, although it's spun to make it appear that way to the public.

I have been hosting for ovee 10 years and Im glad new members like it here but posting events are a pain un the @@s on the phone. The newish host app is hard to scroll down without doing it line by line when I just want to scroll to the very bottom to fix the last thing. Happens more than it should, my old school email saves drafts without me hitting save. Here, I can't even hit save, and im starting all over again. YOU rewrite detailed posts and let me know if you like it.

Too many bugs in app. Members in my group complain about missed/dropped rsvp's. The ability to add guests (for the Organizer) is suddenly being curtailed, causing needless difficulties tracking the number of people attending or attended. The App needs to focus more on making things more convenient for the Organizer & Users, rather than promoting the company. Finally, tech support is TERRIBLE. There is no number to call/discuss/complain even after waiting endlessly for email response
