Audio playback is very buggy. It stops Everytime the screen is touched, and does not restart back at the same spot, forcing you to close and reopen the app for the audio playback to operate correctly again. It does not highlight text for you to follow along with the speech, and does not always scroll the screen along with where it is at in reading

I will not be making this mistake again. I weighed the pros and cons of getting this app for the digital version of my textbook, or the physical copy. I thought the offline reading that was advertised all over meant I could read my textbook while not connected to WiFi or data. The tablet I use doesn't have a phone plan, and any time I'm out of range of WiFi I'm signed out. Which means I can't sign back in. This has impacted my school performance greatly since I can't utilize my time to study.

It's functional, and reading the textbook on a tablet using this app is a much better e,perience than trying to read a PDF on a laptop display, and reading the thing on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is much better than the website, so there's that. The app has this really annoying tendency to check relatively frequent, and force logging into your account if you're off Wi-Fi, there doesn't seem to be a relatively effective dark mode option like there is on every epub e-reader client.

No message when trying to load so you aren't sure if the app is working. Uninstalled because I couldn't get into my app via username and password issues. Second download it finally is letting me in. Id rather just have the book in a PDF than use this app but they don't want you to do that (no download option) they want you to use this app. Just a bad overall experience.

It's OK for now. The read out loud feature needs work. If you touch anywhere on the screen after it starts, the reading stops. If your screen goes to sleep and it reaches the end of a section (not a full chapter), it stops. So you have to keep waking up your phone, moving to the next section, and clicking "Read Out loud" again because you touched the screen. I think they're going in the right direction, but it needs work.

The assigned readings under assignments only works once in a blue moon. It doesn't work on my iPad nor my samsung phone. And don't get me started on how slow it takes to download the assigned reading (I've only got it to do it once)

the most recent update deleted all my notes and highlights, and now the notes and highlight feature doesn't work at all. when I highlight a portion of text the toolbar doesn't propagate.

Only slightly better than not having a reading app at all. There is no option for different voices. The speed options are laughable. Every time you touch the screen anywhere other than on the controls, they dissappear. It seemingly only scrolls when it feels like it.. and it does not highlight the text as you go. Plus, it randomly stops for no reason. Do not see a way to highlight anything. Samsung GS24. Trying to figure out how to get my book into Speechify.
