Was redirected to this app while trying to download a VA file. For some very silly reason the VA still uses Microsoft Office and I couldn't open the file with my regular PDF viewer. This app is less than useless and I deleted it within a few minutes of my first use.

I use this app quite often for viewing official PDF files. I occassionally open any other app while this app is running in background. If I open any other app and switch back to this app, the file which I opened is no more available and app shows "error occurred". I am forced to reopen the file and scroll to the level where I had left earlier. Pathetic

PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!! It was working fine, now will not open secure documents for viewing at all. I keep getting an error message saying the AIP viewer app is not responding. I've tried Uninstaller and reinstalling after most recent updates with no success. App freezes and says it's not responding.

Since the 12-15 update, AIP viewer freezes at the splash screen on my Samsung S20+ We are an intune Shop and on new installs we do get the app protection Splash Screen. however I can no longer access the APP. I have tried clearing cache, and data and re-installing with no success. I have also posted this to the Yammer MIP Developers and SDK group. Otherwise it is usefull app. We use it for protected emails and Files not supported by the other intune apps. We have a group that gets VM sent to there emails and this app allows them to listen to the VM. Thanks

Claims to only need sign in when you try to open the rpmsg file. All that does is return 'an error has occurred'. Trying to sign in via 'Settings' returns a dialog box headed 'how to sign in' with no text on it. No. Googleable references anywhere to possible explanations. Comically, inexplicitly bad.

I'll rather ask my customers to send me the documents any other way than use this poorly designed application that forces you to have a 365 account to open the file. What if I do not want Microsoft to control my entire life and know everything I do? There are other secure document sharing services which does not force you to have an account with them simply to read a file shared by their services.

This app freezes at the splash screen when opening it. This occurred after an update a month or two ago. I see numerous similar reports on here, so it seems to be an issue with the app itself that needs to be fixed.

Microsoft Purview Protected PDF File stopped working for all external (not guest) user. app is broken since Aug 2024 and no fix provided by Microsoft other than inviting whole world has guest (bizarre solution) though deprecation of this app announced for 30 may 2026
