...our team has put in long hours...give it some time and...you will get used to the nonsense. The way news24 copy and past their responses, and the responses itself are just plain tone deaf. It is definitely not an enjoyment to use the app in its current state. 2020. Edit - after a lot of complaints the app improved. Now, 4 years later...2024 News24 is at it again! Ads popping up - UNEXSPECTEDLY- in articles, forcing you to fumble back and fore to find the place you were reading last. Same story

I'm changing my review, however keeping it at one star, I've subscribed, I pay my dues, yet I am still pushed with unnecessary ads, I understand the importance of paying for journalism and getting the writers paid, but if I pay for the app, remove the ads, come on guys. There's nothing worse than reading the news and then getting greeted by some half naked guy trying to sell weight loss products. Please do something, stop taking my money and then shoving these down my throat, be better.

Detailed, objective and relevant articles. Some of the bottom ads are typical toxic click bait stuff, but they are at the bottom and can easily be ignored. The main article ads load in simultaneously so that the news text don't bounce around all over the show (Appreciated!) All in all, it is acceptable with a reasonable subscription amount. But I still feel that the main article ads should be less for subscribers.

Got a subscription but can't view anything as page just says "you are offline" or "sorry, something went wrong"

99% of articles aren't accessible anymore because of the subscription requirement. This resulted in me downloading another app for news. UPDATE: After reviewing their response, it did not directly address the fact that 99% of articles, labelled "for subscribers" or not, are blocked without a subscription. Many other sources like Google News or Feedly are much better and free on the app store. What's the point of a subscription if there are countless complaints about their buggy app experiences.

Basically any news that is pertinent to our lives or worth reading is to be paid for. News is not always accurate or unbiased. Trying EWN now because this is annoying and disappointing.

I'm done with this rubbish race baiting "news" Site. Terrible journalism. Unsubscribed and app deleted. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

App will log you out of your account randomly and without warning. Delayed loading on articles + ads conveniently shifts the screen to tap on the ad inadvertently.
