Online pairing allows you to issue credentials remotely via the My2N Management Platform. Users will receive their credentials instantly in the app, so they don’t need to be physically on-site and pair their phones with the reader.

There are 4 ways to use the My2N App to open doors:
Touch mode lets you open the door without removing your phone from your pocket or bag. Simply touch the reader with your hand or a spare elbow
Tap mode allows you to trigger door opening from a greater distance by tapping the button in the app. Perfect for car park or garage access.
Card mode allows you to authenticate by presenting your phone against the reader without needing to unlock the screen.
Motion mode offers the highest level of convenience: simply approaching the reader with your phone on your person will open the door!
What powers 2N’s mobile access?
2N’s own WaveKey technology, based on Bluetooth, is the driving force behind our mobile access. It offers reliable, secure, and convenient entry – allowing you to leave the keys at home!
It prevents unwanted door opening by only opening doors when the mobile phone is approaching the reader or the intercom - static phones and phones moving away from the reader won’t authenticate.
Bluetooth credential security is guaranteed by government-grade AES encryption over our proprietary channel. Benefit from the option of NFC door unlocking too, if your phone and 2N reader support it.
My2N utilizes a foreground service for the following purposes:
Calling: To seamlessly initiate and manage calls. Without the foreground service, users will only receive notifications of incoming calls but will not be able to receive the calls themselves.
Bluetooth Door Opening: To unlock doors by touching a nearby access device (such as an intercom or reader) without needing to open the app.

The app works fine. The issue I have with the app is a huge one. We use it at my work for the front door since the building is locked down 24/7. I run 2nd shift so I am asleep at 6am when the phone is ringing off the hook. The only way to stop it is to disable the app! Then I forgot to cut it on when I'm at work. The app desperately needs a setting to be able to set a schedule for it not to function!! This is why I give it a 1 Star rating. I have submitted the issue but no response

It works but I dont understand why it's constantly searching for a door. It needs to be where I click the app and then it looks for the door. Too much stuff always working in the background and this doesn't need to be one of them. Edit. Ok so I went into the app and turned the background off and optimization off. The app works as expected.

Ok - seems to be working now, though I had issues. App worked, but not the camera for some reason. Decided to uninstall and reinstall, but then on the reinstall the download sort of froze. To be fair, I don't know if that was Google or the app. Finally got it to install after hours of trying to figure it out. Anyway, seems to work well now, but between the app being down for weeks and the frustration with the reinstall, leaving at 3 stars for now (upped from just 1).

Horrible app. Not very reliable. Extremely difficult to troubleshoot. 2N customer service always requires you to jump through many hoops to get anything resolved. Sometimes I'll answer a call and the app will just be blank. I can hear the person at the door and speak to them but can't actually let them in or end the call since the app window is blank. I've switched phones now and I can't even login, all I get as an error message is "Login Failed". Not helpful.

I've tried to get this running but the app won't work on Android. It's fails at login while trying to register the phone. I tried to reach support but got no response. I'm pretty disappointed with this product and app now. Edit: I can't find an email address for support on the website, the wiki, or when I'm logged into the service. There is also no ability to attach logs when I submit a ticket via the service. Can you provide an email address?

The absence of encryption for an app that transmits voice and video and also has access control capabilities is sorely disappointing and quite surprising. My2N support suggested I submit the idea as a feature request, which I have. That being said, encryption of communications in 2024 is a common best practice, not a bonus feature. My original review was in May - Encryption is still unaddressed as of October 2024.

Rubbish call and video quality. Works about 10% of the time and even then, not very well. Have been without service for long periods of time, so 2n doesn't care about people who are supporting this. At the end of the day, it doesn't deliver a basic service. Looks fancy, but a walkie talkie would do a better job. Have submitted an on app report many times. All they say is contact administrator. Maybe just make your product first? It shouldn't stop working every 3-4 months 😡

App worked in the past. Now it crashes every time I open it. I've uninstalled & reinstalled, changed all the permissions, changed battery optimization, cleared data, logged out and back in - still crashes every time, no matter what. Google Pixel 8 Pro.
