Get a rapid, unbiased, pre-purchase inspection and evaluation of any vehicle, anywhere, BEFORE you purchase or make an offer.R8TR App is a marketplace where out of town "buyers" can hire local, experienced, and knowledgeable R8TRs to quickly evaluate a potential purchase, providing a detailed condition report. R8TR provides peace of mind when buying Cars, Trucks, Boats, Motorcycles, or RVs.
If you are currently looking to purchase a Car, Truck, Boat, Motorcycle, RV, Camper, or Travel Trailer - simply download the app, register to be a buyer and click submit job. Then, you add the description, location, and contact information of the seller. Once submitted, a R8TR in that local area will accept the job, contact the seller, schedule an appointment, and send you a full vehicle condition report including pictures, videos, and descriptions.
R8TR’s are the eyes, ears and nose of the out-of-town buyer.
R8TR’s should be passionate and knowledgeable about whatever vehicle category they are r8ting.
R8TRs are professional and polite when contacting the seller and scheduling a meeting, as well as during the meeting with the seller. Upon arriving at the requested vehicle, the R8TR will engage the app and begin the process of evaluating the vehicle.
Vehicles will always be evaluated in the same manner following in app instructions, with minor variations, based on the vehicle category.
The R8TR is looking for scratches, dents, imperfections, rust, obvious replaced parts, aftermarket parts, cracks and other imperfections.
R8TRs will be “nitpicky” and point out every single flaw, as if they were the most meticulous buyer in the world.
The goal of the R8TR is to be more detail oriented and thorough than the buyer themselves. No flaw or imperfection will go un-noted.
Although the R8TR’s job is to locate and identify every imperfection in the vehicle, they will never be anything but courteous and respectful of the seller. Rather than exploiting a vehicles imperfection, R8TR’s quietly and professionally document the information using the app, and let the buyer draw their own conclusions. At no time will the seller ever feel like R8TR’s are against them. Conversely, R8TR’s should represent themselves in such a way as to make the seller want to work with a R8TR again in the future.

Time, money and stress saver! I have purchased several vehicles sight unseen from dealers in the past and have been disappointed by the lack of an objective opinion. This app connects you with someone on the ground who will give you a true assessment of the vehicle, boat...etc that you are purchasing. No more travelling just to come home empty handed! Well worth the money and allows you to truly buy with confidence.

App never shows jobs and there is no screening of people applying as raters, even those that don't have enough experience to perform a prepurchase inspection. The app owner tries too hard to flex on Instagram, putting his logos on cars in Forza and acting like they're real photos. It's another attempt at copying Uber with 0 invested in the r&d of the app. You're better off reaching out to people that do this for a living instead of giving a middleman your money. Support your local businesses.

The app itself is ok, but the leaders of this company have not communicated with the "r8trs" in over a year. To my knowledge this company is out of business since no one answers any communication. This is a good concept, but in more than two years in operation, I'm not aware of a single vehicle inspection performed.

I have been a r8tr for a few years now. To say this company is on the ball and utmost professionals is an understatement! I have not had a single issue with the app, help on locations or getting prompt payment. Being a r8tr is one of the best decisions I have made. I enjoy every job they give me. Keep up the great work r8tr team!!!

This app will not help the car buying experience at all. If you have random people performing 'inspections', this only shows superficial items from inexperienced people rather than actually useful mechanical advice

Still in beta / early access. Dev pushes hard for you to do the work of spreading the word of their app/service. App itself feels beta and not polished (yet) Also no jobs around my area still.

Signed up over a month ago and have not received a single job. Took my buddy 2 years to actually get a job from r8tr. No jobs show up in the app either.
