Meteorfall is a deck-building roguelike. You'll choose your class from one of four unique adventurers, and then set out with a deck consisting of some basic attack cards. During the course of your adventure, you'll be presented with the opportunity to add powerful new cards to your deck.

No adventure would be complete without slaying a few monsters that get in your way. In battle, you'll draw cards from your ability deck. Each time you draw a card, you'll be able to swipe right to play the card, or swipe left to skip a turn and regain some stamina.

Between battles, you'll venture through a variety of locations, represented by an encounter deck. You'll encounter blacksmiths that can upgrade your cards, temples that can help you optimize your deck, and mysterious characters that will make you all sorts of bargains.

The tactical strategy of combat micro-decisions mixed with the strategic element of deck-building provides a compelling and deep gameplay experience.

As with all roguelikes, death is permanent. You'll earn some gems that you can use to unlock new cards, but it's back to the drawing board after that. Start out with a new adventurer and set out on your quest once again.

The good news is that Meteorfall is different every time you play - you'll encounter different locations, different enemies, and different quests. Part of the challenge is adapting to the challenging situations the game puts you in, given the cards available.

Good luck hero - it's time to end the Uberlich's cycle of destruction!

Clever little card game. Most of the important choices are in the deck building, which takes a while to play out. Really appreciate how much variety there is between characters Takes some time to play a full round, and you can still get unlucky with a good deck and lose. Pretty crushing when it happens near the end.

Amazing pick up & play title without being shallow! I have been a big fan of Slay of the Spire and this offers a similar but nonetheless great experience, streamlined for the mobile interface. The amount of variation in play style between character classes makes it very replayable, especially with every class having an unlockable advanced class.

I'm in love with this card game, simple in gameplay but still complex in strategy, with amazing replayability. Plus a great art style and diversity of game modes. I'm still trying to get those last two achievements (update: only 1 left now), and I'm enjoying unlocking the other characters, Boris is my favourite so far. Would definitely recommend this game, easy to learn but with lots of strategies to improve on, it works offline, and the art style is fun!

Quite good. I dropped a lot of time into this game, and definitely feel I got my money's worth. Nice little deck-builder. There's a wide set of fun characters to unlock, and each has several ways to build a strong engine. Main negative is that it can be VERY luck dependent. Even after mastering the game, you'll still lose most runs to the luck of the draw. Also the one BGM wears thin after a while; tho you can mute it. Meteorfall is solid, but def check out its sequel "Krumit's Tale"!

Like the game so far. But there are random crashes at app start up and some of the interface elements seem to fall off the edge of the screen. Also, as of today, can't continue a previous save, because the game crashes once I click continue. Worried that no support will come for this, since the last update of the app was in 2020.

I don't usually leave reviews; Meteorfall deserves one. Why? Because I've had it for ages and keep coming back to it when I'm bored. The game has three things going for it: 1) A polished, lean core game design. If you enjoy engine building (picking things that work nicely together) you will enjoy this. 2) Offline functionality. You can pull out this game on the plane, at your gran's place, or while visiting Mars- you'll always be able to play it. 3) Fun weekly puzzles... I've run out of words :(

Pros: Awesome art and animations, worth drawing. You are somewhat forced to think, analyze, learn and do tactics by the difficulty. In order to unlock more you need to win better. Cons: It sometimes feels like the difficulty is lowered by buying additional skills with diamonds. I'm not sure if the algorithm of the whole thing is ill balanced just like many other games, may be. In general, this game is one of few timeworthy games for Android, and a great random find on googleplaypass.

This is my favorite pick-up-and-play game on Android. The entire game can be played with a swipe to the left or right. You never worry about losing progress, because the game saves between every event. Please make a sequel to Meteorfall: Journey, I'm not a big fan of Krumits Tale. Animations, more costumes, modifiers, cards, and the ability to generate custom scenarios with a seed would be lit.
