I am so excited to learn to play the guitar and this app was outstanding (for about 2 weeks. Once I got to the lessons for the G chord and strumming most of the lessons won't load or when they do, I can only do the short practice exercises before the songs. When I select one of the songs to practice, an error pops up saying "Something went wrong". The issue occurs on my Android cell and my iPad. Very disappointed. The update ruined the app.

I've never played piano. I'm attempting to learn. I had simply piano but this one allowed for a cheaper subscription. Well, you get what you pay for. I'm only on the 3rd level lessons and already there have been multiple instances of jumps to new information with our actually bothering to teach or explain. Also on their videos and examples it's impossible to tell what the person is trying to show you because the way to show the keys their pressing/transitioning.

My experience has been solely with the Bass section of Yousician. When I first used the app I had already been playing for a year and was extremely impressed by what I saw. The video leasons are very clear and easy to understand and the basics section was very informative. But after that it was a huge let down. After completing the basics section the only tools available on the free version are the video lessons. No songs, only countless popups to buy their subscription. YouTube is a better bet

App does not work at all. It cannot read the notes I play. Even when I use headphones. I cannot even get past the second chapter. On top of all that it cannot even detect witch strings I am plucking when I try to tune. The only thing in this app that works are the videos. I would give this zero stars if I could. I do not recommend this app at all.

Little pricey, but very well put together in my opinion. Heard so much about Guitar Tricks and not much about Yousition. I got both, but prefer Yousition. Feel like I've come a long way in just a few days with it (or at the least can see myself going far with it). Yousition seems more modern and gets you right in the action. The other one seems dated even though it's a very good teacher teaching it (teachers).

Marketed as a free app, with a subscription, you need a subscription to learn the songs. All songs are only accessible via subscription. As well the listen back feature and tuner are awful. I was extremely disappointed, their are many free apps and even videos that accomplish the same if not similar idea and to market it as free songs and not have that option is gross.

It listens as you play and teaches you to read tablature (tab) for guitar. Definitely well put together. Premium version has been fun too (since it's the only way to play "popular" songs). I've loved the Metallica course. I haven't tried other instruments. No technical issues except sometimes I think I hit a note and the app doesn't. I've heard that you can't cancel mid-year (but I wanted the full year), so read the fine print.

perfect curriculum. Everything mapped from beginner to master but many options to choose. Level 3/4 in 110 days since January. I get feedback on tempo and pitch on every note. An entire year for the price of two inexpensive private lessons. Almost any song I want has multiple versions at any playing level. Tons from all genres. Guitar magazine reviewed Yousician and Fender. Confused how Fender wonunless they chose their top advertiser. Fender has ZERO feedback. That won't make you play better.
