What a lousy app. It forgets I set up the app often I I haven't opened it in a few weeks, the it splits by Bravia 7 tv control display from the Bravia 9 soundbar. It can turn off the TV but can't turn it on. Plus it just seizes up at times If the soundbar could be set up without the app I'd drop the app instantly. Sony, your hardware is wonderful but your software is garbage.

This might be the most ridiculous app I've ever encountered in my entire life. During the calibration it asks me to turn my phone vertically. Even if it's already vertically, it asks me to do it. Then no matter what it turns the instructions upside down so I can't read them. Then if you so much is move your phone slightly. It restarts the entire calibration process. I've spent about an hour and a half. Just trying to get through the basic entry calibration because the app is ridiculous.

Just purchased a new Bravia 7, notification popped up to download this app to control the TV. I did, but the app won't even connect to the TV, it can't find it. I am pretty tech savvy, troubleshooted for a while - can't imagine what others are going through. Why emphasis downloading the app during onboarding when it's this bad? Just hide this away from the world. Bad first experience setting up a brand new TV.

Sometimes it's having trouble connecting to the soundbar HTS2000. I have to reconnect again or go closer to the soundbar. It also needs an update for better integration with the soundbars features. The automatic volume control is a loudness normalization, but will level everything and will lose the sound details of movies or music. Another thing about multichannel PCM, Dolby surround works but DTS virtual X won't and only for PCM 2.0 will it turn on. It also never display S-FORCE PRO?

App crashes. hours on phone with Sony. Systems you are trying to control constantly disconnect. App is only way to control device im using - when it doesn't work,,, the vet expensive device doesn't work. However, when it is working - it is a feature to app. If it worked consistently without issues it would be 5 stars. Note date of this review - they may have updated.

Worst app I've ever used. Have a BRAVIA 8 TV and Theatre 8 soundbar, so both are compatible with the app. Managed to set both up on my first attempt but after that any other time I have opened the app I cannot connect to either device. Have tried setting up afresh and it has worked a couple of times. Have now tried today and although it recognises the devices, neither will connect. Absolute joke of an app. Give it one star because I couldn't give zero.

Problem Connecting - Note. As I have all my devices connected to the Internet via a VPN, you will have to disable the VPN,which assigns a different IP Address subnet therefore will not be recognised by the App. My biggest problem is bluetooth connections. You have to read the instructions very carefully as once a device is paired AT FIRST STARTUP of the bar, it is difficult to change it later.

There is an issue... it will connect first and every other time once the TV and Soundbar HTA9000 is turned on. But! As soon as your phone goes out of range of the Wi-Fi and back in range of the Wi-Fi it will not connect. Try as I may it doesn't connect. If I shut the app down and open it again it does not connect. The only way is to get it to work is to restart the phone, or go into settings and Stop the Bravia Connect App and restart it.
