Spam, spam, spam, and more spam. The new setting to disallow messages from people you don't know doesn't work as stated. All it does is hide the message requests within the app. You still get the notifications but they don't lead anywhere. Changing the setting back to allowed reveals all the previous messages received that were supposedly disallowed. 🤦‍♂️

Edit: came back awhole year later to see if it was fixed. It's even worse now! Can't even join now. Edit: reached out haven't herd back, was told my account was permanently deleted but I can't be told why. So I guess it's a lost cause, so disappointed in how this app turned out. Deleted my account and the help center doesn't even exist any more. Had the app for over ten years and now it won't even let me create a new account. No way to reach out and it constantly freezes on the loading screen.

Rubbish. It used to be reasonable, not great but reasonable. Now it's rubbish. Doesn't send message notifications reliably on Android despite me doing every type of troubleshooting they advise. It's hit & miss at best. I know others with different Android phones & os versions having the same issue so it's not a phone or Android problem but kik team just give the usual blurb. Absolute rubbish now. Time to use a better platform

Would probably have given it even less stars. I downloaded the app, installed it, and then the issues began. I couldn't create an account using my phone, so I used a friend's. Unfortunately, even after doing that, I couldn't log into the app on my device. It if was a compatibility issue with my phone, I believe it would have told me that before downloading, in fact, the download option would have been unavailable.

It's clear the devs aren't even attempting to fix this horrendous app with it's constant bugs and lack of ability to even access it. This has been a problem for OVER A YEAR. You'd think a company would do something when their app is unable to run the minimum of getting past the sign up/log in page, but clearly not this one. This app was once a relatively good and fun way to make friends and chat, but now it's completely useless. Don't waste your time downloading, it won't let you on anyway.

App won't let me open and videos or pics . Constantly fails opening anything that isn't a text. Very disappointed. I have tried uninstalling and resetting my phone and reinstall and still have the exact same issue. The help center (if you can find it )is pathetic no help at all. No other way of sending issues except by leaving it as a rating.

Well the app is useless. I recommend fixing your guys bugs. I tried creating an account for the first time and it's keeps saying "if error persist, make sure you download the latest version" I just downloaded the app looking to try it out now I am uninstalling. If I had an option to give it zero stars I would, considering I couldn't even try it out.

Why are we back to the multiple Go Live terms permission clicks? I've said NO every time, quit asking, unless I select that feature. This was a previously fixed issue that's returned. Too many bots! Attaching images can still be hit or miss. You get brought to a blank kik screen and need to type to find the group or individual, instead of seeing your list of current conversations. Can be a pain if you don't remember their kik ID. I still miss the video chat. I used to use kik instead of Skype.
