Smart Meter Pro is the NEW 4th set of Smart Tools® collection. It includes 3 tools (Sound meter, Vibration meter and Lux meter).① Sound meter
Sound level meter uses your microphone to measure noise volume in decibels(db), and shows a reference.
REMEMBER!! Most microphones were aligned to human voice (300-3400 Hz, 40-60 dB). Therefore maximum value is LIMITED by manufacturers, and very loud sound (90+ dB) cannot be recognized.
You can trust the result in routine-noise levels (40-70 dB).
② Vibration meter (seismograph)
Vibrometer uses the acceleration sensors to measure vibration or an earthquake, and it shows a reference as a seismic detector.
The measured values are related to Modified Mercalli Intensity scale (MMI). If it is inaccurate, you can calibrate it so that maximum value is about 10-11. Please use it as an auxiliary tool.
③ Lux meter
Light meter measures the ambient brightness with embedded light sensor. It is used to adjust the lighting required for plants or to check the brightness of a study room.
Make sure that your screen with the sensor is facing the ambient light source (lamp, LED lighting, window, sun).

Very straight forward to use and does not make it overly complex. I used it recently when comparing keyboard switches to decide which switch to buy. Quite easy to use, I can start the audio monitor and then type and stop it to review the measurements. The Pro version also has a color background change option to make it easier to tell once the audio passes a certain threshold which is also convenient, I used it in my noisy office to review.

Exactly what I needed. As a long-haul otr truck driver, I always found myself wondering what kind of vibrations and impacts certain areas of my truck and objects attached within were experiencing out there on very rough roads... most notable would be my desktop computer. Not exactly an ideal environment for a desktop computer but it's best I can do until I find a laptop that equals the desktops capabilities.

Bought the pro version for the vibration test and got two other apps as well. Super cool. I work in a lab and it's been useful in eliminating countertop vibrations so as to not affect our scales. I'm looking forward to evaluating many things. A phones accelerometer isn't as accurate as a dedicated vibrometer but still helps to inform and possibly justify the purchase of one. Very nice app 👍

The app is great, but it is does not allow you to export the CSV file of a saved recording. It only exports whatever is currently recording. Please fix this, and then the app is perfect.

Essential sound tool for audio engineers. Even though I cannot comment on the absolute accuracy of the app, it seems consistent to me and I have no reason to doubt its measurements.

I use the lux meter. Easy to use. The chart is useful to grasp the variability of a set up, for example working conditions on a desktop with a lamp.

Found this app useful to test the long time range output of light for my different flashlights. Now it can record up to 8 hours.

Nice and handy app to always be able to check the sound or noise level. Very intuitive and easy to use.
