Truly awsome. This app is still awesome, but the stroke checker needs to be more strict then it all ready is. I have the stroke checker on strict and I am still drawing the kana outside of the line. It doesn't penalize me for not having the kana in the lines. It would also help me learn more kana if there was some other exercises to do as well. Also it would probably help if it would take longer to level up. As it is, it's a little too easy for me

Great app, it's been very helpful in helping me memorize both hiragana and katakana. The only improvement I would suggest is adding an option to have the romanji displayed with the corresponding character. It would help beginners link the correct sound with the correct character. Otherwise, a wonderful and surprisingly addictive app.

Nothing beats drawing by hand, but this is the next best thing. Kana Draw, combined with a flash card app, is a great way to learn Hiragana and Katakana. My only recommendation is that a few of the Hiragana symbols use a font more common with machines (text computers etc) vs what is taught for handwriting them (example SO in Hiragana). Maybe have traditional hand writing fonts as an available option.

It is a very good app for practicing kana (stroke order does matter if you want to learn Japanese). I have run into a bug a few times when practicing. Katakana was indicated (shows a "K"), I get it wrong and the Hiragana kana is shown as the correct answer. Otherwise,it's the best Kana app on Android.

This is one of the best I've found for being able to customize what you learn/practice (eg doesn't forcibly separate hiragana from katakana!) but the stroke check tolerance is *so* picky even at "extra forgiving" that I'm getting a lot of "wrong" that other apps don't ding. I try redrawing and even when I know I had a better overall form in my first try it as often as not accepts the second, sloppier version.

just what I was looking for. glitches sometimes and plays the same audio twice, and the discrepancy between keyboard kana and the standard written ones is sometimes confusing but it is excellent so I do not mind 💖💖

Easy to use and has a nice ramp to learn the character with spaced repetition. Each character looks hand written which feels a bit weird but overall I am very happy with it. Better than the dozen or so others I tried. I use this and Duolingo. This is better for Kana.

good app overall, but I'd agree with another reader that the ya katakana is messed up. it's the only character I cannot get despite being extremely close to the template. I've tried my use of the ya kana on other apps and it has been fine. please fix this
