Waterfox for Android is the privacy focused mobile browser that puts you in control. Created fully open source, Waterfox strips out analytics, telemetry, and unnecessary closed source integrations, instead giving you a clean private browsing experience.Unlike other Android web browsers, Waterfox does not have any analytics or telemetry that track your usage. It also does not use closed source SDKs or have sponsored shortcuts enabled by default. Integrations like the closed source Pocket read-it-later service have been removed. Additionally, all code related to Chinese censorship has been stripped out.
Waterfox puts privacy first. It blocks online trackers, stopping companies from profiling your browsing habits. It comes with encrypted DNS support using DNS over Oblivious HTTP to prevent censorship. With this unique feature, your DNS queries are hidden to avoid network manipulation and is the ONLY web browser to offer a premium feature for free!
In terms of customization, Waterfox will support add-ons so you can enhance your mobile browsing experience. It also has customizable settings for history, cookies, zoom level, and much more. You are in full control.
Under the hood, Waterfox uses the same lightning fast Gecko engine that powers the largest open source web browser. Pages will load quickly and websites will perform smoothly. Waterfox also supports modern web standards and technologies for the best browsing experience.
Waterfox is independently developed with a focus on user privacy and choice. There are no metrics or data collection happening behind the scenes. Waterfox for Android brings desktop class privacy to mobile.
Give Waterfox a try to take control of your mobile browsing, you can browse the web privately.

This is by far the best android browser i have ever used or come across. It deserves a full 5 stars. It just gers better with every update. How it has not reached a million users i do not know!! It is absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend it. Innovative and fast. Extra security settings are also a bonus as well as the use of firefox extensions.

Some sudden quirks: I just realized that the address bar defaulted back to the top, but more worryingly, I cannot select anymore DuckDuckGo as default search engine. Also, the settings panel now is a cool panel rising from the bottom, but I don't like the sudden loss of control and ability to set DDG as default search. What's going on guys? 🤔😞

I appreciate the effort behind the team that works on this browser, As time goes on hopefully more people jump the ship from Firefox to waterfox. As the Internet is a dangerous place from cookies to tracking and hackers it is more important than ever to hop on over to a browser that cares for it's user base instead of spying on them and the like.

make the browser a little better looking. implement edgetoedge, do some symmetrical work. Mozilla has deliberately delivered an ugly looking looking ui. just try working with the UI. like add accent colors with your icon colours. add some latest features(edgetoedge or md3 Expressive stuff). the UI isn't user friendly, looks ugly to use. yes it works and everything buy why can't it look good too. you're compiling the app from ground up then maintain some level of finesse in UI UX design.

Just awful new visual experience. Back/Forward on the new 'in your face' copied from FF awful bling menu is horrible. Zero subtlety. Sudden UI changes like this are absolutely horrendous and break workflow for no visible benefit. Jarringly painful. Had been my goto browser but now looking elsewhere. "Disappointing" is an understatement.

I've been using this for a while and it has been fulfilling my needs well. I just wish the developer hadn't fallen into the "Prettier but more cumbersome" trend in this last update. If you're adding clicks and scrolls to accomplish normal tasks, you're moving backwards, IMO.

This update is horrendous there was nothing wrong with the old UI design you changed it for no reason; you made the menu system cumbersome and removed people's defaults all while forcing some unknown search engine Startpage to be used instead of whatever you choose personally. you clearly do not care about what we select for our personal preferences this destroys a lot of my trust I had in you as a developer I can only suspect you are doing more shady stuff behind the scenes at this point.

I've used WaterFox since inception. I used to use Firefox, but after that turned into a data collection browser, I opted to switch to this one. The user interface is pleasing & the controls are also well thought out. Some of the Firefox features are included, such as tab syncing & bookmarks. All in all, a nice little browser that doesn't use a lot of resources and is privacy focused
