Alas,.why is it so hard to get the appropriate charts? This app clearly has great functionality, and I desperately want it to work for me. But I've spent hours trying to get the correct ENCs or raster charts to download and show properly (uncluttered labeling, objects stay visible with zooming in and out) on my Android 10. How in the world to make this functional? I tried to register for the user forum but the confirmation email never came.

New to sailing and chart plotting, but I've been pleased so far. On a race last night, I navigated and tracked our sail while another on board with Navionics ended up with an incomplete tracking log (iOS issue with app sleeping it seems). I'll update review as I use more features. Oh, and I was able to export GPX of the sail for importing into SailTies. Overall the app seems clunky in places but powerful.

Great value. My previous chart plotter app is no longer available on Google Play. When I got a new phone I needed to find a new app. I am really happy with OpenCPN. For $10 you can can get an app with all the updated charts you want, for free. I also like the idea that I can build something with the same user interface using free, open source software and a Raspberry Pi when I want a more permanent installation.

So far, all of the functionality is working well. I switched from Navionics Boating when they got greedy and doubled the annual cost. I should have switched earlier - OpenCPN is much more powerful! My key complaint at this point is not being able to get access to the support forum for app purchasers. It never sent the authentication code.

Although listing states as being suitable for Android 5 and above, it does not work on Lenovo 10" tablet under Android 6. Tried contacting developer, but no response, so uninstalled and applied for refund Very disappointed

Fantastic app, integrates with all charts and is very easy to use. I am withholding one star only because I can't get it to work with my Vesper XB8000. I configure a TCP network exactly as instructed and with the correct (default) settings, but nothing. Meanwhile my watchmate app is reading the ais info perfectly - only without the map and all. If anyone can help me with this, I'd be grateful!

What more could a moving map display chart plotter such as this be? It has everything you need to pilot a vessel and it still keeps getting better with more and more intricate features. Thanks Dave and all the team for building this platform based on so many diverse users ideas and suggestions. I particularly like the digital replication of what's actually going on around my location and that I can choose the position i would like to occupy on my screen rather than the default screen centre.

Promises much but disappoints. It leaves one to believe that data (Routes etc.) can be created on Windows PC and transferred to your Android tablet for use on the boat. My experience is that this is not possible and despite raising this with developer on several occasions I have not had a reply. The navigational functionality, I have yet to test.
