Airtel is just careless. I had two SIM cards on a mobile app, one with 10k balance, but the app forced me to use the first SIM for payment when I tried to buy data for the second SIM. I couldn't remove the first SIM and had to clear the app's data to start over. The app doesn't allow users to paste phone numbers, which is inconvenient. It also asks for permission to read contacts and SMS, which I find unnecessary. The app displays full-screen ads even when running in the background.

Update Feb. 13/2022: (Keep reading for bad news...) The App finally worked for me! Used it effectively for about 7 months. It's poor design that it can only be used while on Data. Now the app will not work for me again as (since the Feb 1st update) as it says I need to connect to data?! 5/12/2021: Have been trying for months to use this app. Couldn't get it to download and now that it is, it won't open. Annoyed as everytime I visit Airtel they tell me to "use the app". Well, obviously I can't.

Cannot turn off notifications. I do not need constant notifications about app/service features, and there is no way to turn this off from the app without disabling all Airtel app notifications from Android itself. Otherwise 5 stars, it is simple and does everything without the need for short codes.

It's used to be great but now with the most recent update, it doesn't work with developer options turned on. That's a huge deal breaker for me since the app doesn't support dark mode so I have to use the force dark mode. They say it's a security concerned but I have over 10 banking apps none of which refuse to launch with developer options on. can I get the older version back, I've been forced to use the stk. had to download an earlier apk version from a dodgy site to get around this, inconven

New Airtel customer. Bought 50k for 30 days. No data. Called Call Center within 3 hours of purchase. They could not fix my data issue. Called 8 times. Asked to switch to a bundle without data. They REFUSED and said needed to research the problem n return my call in 72 hrs. Missed my online class. Three Days later no return call. I went to the Airtel store which fixed the settings for data but it is extremely SLOW or non existent. Will not stay with Airtel. Beyond disappointed. Unreal.....

Great! I never knew sending money could be this easy! This I say because I can't access the Airtel network because I am not currently in the country. I just thought of trying the app to send from my wallet to someone who really needed the money and without delay the person got it just like that. Now that i know, i will be doing these transactions often. I am really happy. Thanks, Airtel.

Excellent, app and thank you for listening to your customers. In August 2024, i could no longer use this app when developers options was on. My phone is completely unusable without those options turned on. I was forced to make a tough choice, keep the app i love and have an overal worse phone experience or uninstall it so i keep using my phone the way i want to.. I complained and they listened. It doesn't have to he mandatory but optional for those who understand the risk !! 🙏

It's a nice and convenient app. But there's an issue I noticed. When your phone is on screen video recording it actually does not hide when your dialing your pin. And the pin can be seen in the recorded video. I think this might be a security problem which you can think of. Maybe restrict screen recordings and screenshots when one is inputting the pin. But otherwise it's a very nice app. Thank you.
