The app in general works good, but i'm someone who doesn't turn on the location unless absolutely required. I keep getting the pop up to turn it on "for a better experience" that pops up every 2 seconds. There is no need for the location if my theatre is set. Please leave me alone with knowing my exact location. I'm able to type in the city or theatre i want to check. I do not want to turn my location on just to look at movie listings.

I had issues updating the app this week. One of the troubleshooting steps was to uninstall and then reinstall the app. I've uninstalled the app, but when I try to reinstall, it doesn't work. I've also tried restarting my phone and then reinstalling. Still no luck. The developer responded very quickly to my comment above and resolved the issue. I have just successfully reinstalled the app. Thank you!

The app was good. Recently they announced with great pride a new improved app. On a number or fronts, it's worse NOT improved. I'll still use it because as a CineClub user I have to. The UI experience is somewhat unpleasant now in comparison to what it used to be, but it works. Ironically, because I don't routinely broadcast my location, it works better with that permission disabled.

Why do I need to have location on just to browse for movie info? Persistenly forcing me to say no thanks with every tap is infuriating. Great app, cineclub member, but please allow me to browse without location enabled. Edit November 2nd: after updating issue still persists, only way to use the app is to fully enable location with increased accuracy via Google settings. Vpn does not solve the issue as then app becomes unusable entirely. Cheers for reply!

The latest version 9.1.1 won't install on my Pixel 7 Pro. Can't use the app for tickets and Cinepoints... Updated 9.1.2 is just out and installed. Will see how it holds. Updated again, I have bumped up the rating from 1 ⭐ to 4 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ after developer's quick response. Installation is successful now. Should have been 5 ⭐ if done right at first time.

Usually this app is amazing. However, the online booking fee is horrible. I booked a movie earlier in the month, got an email confirmation. Checked yesterday and they switched the movie. I got a refund minus the booking fee, had to book the movie at a different time. Arrived at the cinema today and the original movie time was now showing. I had to switch my movie time, pay another booking fee, lost my preferred seat all because the app had a glitch 😡.

While the app is fine for what it is, it throws a temper tantrum if it asks you to turn on your location data and you say no. It will ask again every few seconds. So I denied it at the permissions level instead. Then it stopped bugging me. Interesting strategy they're using here Cotton. It didn't work out for them.

Constantly spamming asking for my location while trying to swipe through the app, literally every second. How predatory. It is already showing my local theatres what more does it want. Going to use the website instead and uninstall this terrible app. Wish i could avoid Cineplex all together but Canadians are faced with yet another monopoly
