Private Compute Services helps improve features inside Android’s Private Compute core - like Live Caption, Now Playing, and Smart Reply.
Android prevents any feature inside the Private Compute Core from having direct access to the network; but machine learning features often improve by updating models. Private Compute Services helps features get these updates over a private path. Features communicate over open-source APIs to Private Compute Services, which removes identifying information and uses a set of privacy technologies, including federated learning, federated analytics, and private information retrieval, to preserve privacy.
The source code for Private Compute Services is published online at https://github.com/google/private-compute-services

Everyone advocates it's purpose and intent of this app but what is odd is its not a system program that's been around since Android services or devices from jump street. Alot of these system apps lately seem to have been created not very long ago. This one for example was dropped just a few years ago and another app in my update list is even newer than this app so what's really going on? They make it sound great for user but is it really just for spying and checking up on we the people?

All this has appeared, and I'm not a total tech head, but it's monitoring software. Very very scary stuff. Connects through Bluetooth when WiFi is unplugged, hidden connected devices. Still getting to the bottom of it all, keeps leading me back to github.

Idk what it does exactly but since installing its self more bugs have been happening including typing errors, specifically when going back to delete part of a word to type it with correct spelling the system deletes a random number of additional letters or words after you have already started typing again sometimes moving the cursor to the middle of a word or tries to auto finish the word you stopped deleting and adds the rest at the end of what you were beginning to write...

Cookie scraper. It is malware but it's not ai related. This is an old app that comes standard with basically all Android devices. You can technically disable it petmanently but it's more trouble than it's worth. All this app does is sell ur info faster, it's gonna get sold regardless.

I had no choice to install the app or to choice not install Private Compute Services, it forced install. The app controls my phone, I have no choice what it does. You cannot access the app or settings for the app. You cannot delete it. The only time you can find the app is during update, the uninstall only let's you uninstall updates and not the app. Who knows if it even let's you uninstall updates when you choose that during update process.

This app is amazing, before installation, my pet rabbit hardly bothered with me, yeah it would let me pet him but I never really felt connected. Now we are like best buddies, he laughs (twitches his nose) at my jokes, he's always reminding me when my favorite TV program is on the telly and he wants to hang out all the time. It's a game changer, I'm not sure if it works with other animals but it certainly works for rabbits.

This app causes more problems than it fixes. From the flashlight turning on with the slightest motion, to frequent screen blackouts, to constant "UI system not available" messages. Initially, I thought it was just "user error" as I acclimated myself to a new phone, but after reading about the experiences of others, I can see that it is the original source of my issues. AND it's not even managing the "speech-to-text" function it's supposedly there for!

This app appears on background (No Icon on main menu) without being informed. (Or maybe a little line part of the T&C Of the update that nobody reads...) I don't use Live Caption, Now Playing, and Smart Reply; So it is not clear exactly what the AI does on this app. Nor clear what the app is doing or bringing to the user except tracking more data sent to we don't know for unknown purposes. I don't know if thi is the app doing this but since installed, the screen unlocked by itself.
