I have lowered my rating to one star, trying to stop my subscription seems to be impossible using the app. Is app could/should be much better. This app does not remember where I was in my reading. If you decide to listen to the articles you can hear the same article 2 or 3 times. When I leave the app and return I do not have the option to listen to the articles unless I shut down the app and reload it. 2 stars for this app is being generous.

New app is awful .cannot read any article worth reading because it's behind a pay wall. Your already state funded media funded by my tax dollars. Un-installed after a week.

So...not actually Star Phoenix, false advertising app that provides nothing whatever Absent Intelligence dreamed up this app was probably hired to make sure no one ever used the app again and they did their job perfectly 🙄 Total trash!!!! Obits section is still not working...

Bill C-18 is the beginning of the end for the Star Phoenix. Unless the Star Phoenix and Post media actively campaign for the repeal of this Federal Act, they are essentially signing their own resignation. Modern-day journalism must be more convenient to access and less expensive than alternatives. Simply put, no one cares what laws are passed in a feable attempt to force usage as they will find a lawful way around.

Used to love getting local news from this app. Now everything's blocked behind a pay wall/registration wall. I'm not giving Postmedia my personal information, most of their papers are nothing but right wing rags. Local editors at least gave the Star Phoenix an edge. It's a shame we're going to see this paper die off now.

One thing is when you read a article and go back to the main app it takes you to the top of the list instead of where you were in the list of articles
