I have a child with noise sensory disorder so I bought the Geeni sleep trainer for the sound machine and timed lights. My son is also non verbal and very visual. The Geeni randomly stops working and when I go into the app to turn it back on It won't let me do anything. I have to go and unplug the device and plug it back in for the app to be able to interact with it. This has become an every other night thing and its kind of defeating the purpose of it if it's turning off at night.

The initial ad that appears when app is opened is infuriating. The application used to be almost perfect. And now they added a "subscribe now!! For video storage" ad that you have to either wait 3 seconds or manually close before getting to your devices. It's so unnecessary and runs the use of the application.

I was enjoying the app and Geeni products for years, but recently they started these ads about their cloud storage every time I open it. Also, an annoying popup saying I need to connect my devices to Bluetooth. They're already connected to wifi, don't need Bluetooth, yet the popups are incessant. The reason I went with Geeni in the first place was for the ease of use and the local storage to sd cards instead of being forced to pay for cloud storage. I am now looking to switch to another brand.

Meh really tired of the constant push notifications for cloud storage. That you can not make go away permanently. I do not want cloud storage. It's one of the reasons I didn't go with ring. The constant ads for there cloud storage makes it take longer to load the camera app and when your trying to check them in a hurry it's a problem. You also can't leave them open in another tab because you have to reload everything when you go back to the tab which takes the same amount of time. Very aggravati

Update 2024. Camera stopped working unless we were on the same network. Now 6+ months later I can't get it to connect. It keeps saying there is an encryption failure. The motion sensor works but I can't log in to view anything. It's running on a 2.4ghz wifi and is near the router, and I'm using a Google pixel 7...all software & firmware is up-to-date. Very disappointed...Great little bot. We use it mostly to visually monitor a thermometer inside an industrial building, not so much for movement.

This app was sort of functional to the point of usability for a while. And it still functions fine. I guess. It's definitely not the best, especially if you're trying to do playback. The bigger issue is they just added preload advertisements!!!!!!!! 😱😱😱 Better hope you don't get a notification or have some kind of emergency where you need to hurry and look at your cameras because you have to wait for their ad to play before you can skip and load in the interface.

Failed to load cloud storage appears every evening at around 6pm. I can never access that days footage even though I have a subscription. The next morning, I will go into the app and that same footage I couldn't access the night before, I can now view . I have no alarms or limitations set on my account. So very annoying! I don't understand this "failure to load cloud storage" EVERY SINGLE EVENING. No issues during the day.

Wait for a commercial before I can turn off a light.....cool. I paid to see commercials.... awesome. This sucks. So tired of commercials and ads being jammed down my throat. Had this for 5 years, keeps getting worse. Interface lags or doesn't update. I think the updates just put more ads in it. My last review mysteriously disappeared as well.
