My app has been buggy since mid September. It won't change over to professional monitoring even though I paid for the FULL YEAR. Now, the app won't open at all. It keeps saying that my phone is in airplane mode even though it's not. And when I uninstall and reinstall the app it won't verify my username and password. I have never had this many issues with this app since getting it 3 years. Just had my wired doorbell installed and I can't even set it up because the app won't start.

This software gets worse everyday. Now alerts are animated, but only shows a quarter of a second on a loop, so it makes me feel like I'm going to have a seizure just by watching it. And I didn't turn on this "feature" and I can't turn it off. About ready to smash my glorified doorbell with a hammer and cancel my subscription. Not to mention my doorbell itself is a pile.

UPDATE: Ring decided to join the price gouging band wagon. Features that use to be free, you now have to pay for. That defeated the entire purpose of picking your product. Very disappointed 😞 This morning I have all my features, this afternoon I don't! There's suddenly no Disarm-Home-Away. Am I missing something? The app works great, minus the price issue. Occasionally freezing but expected.

Awful terrible garbage app. The problem is that you won't see the review until you have the doorbell and it's too late. The doorbell itself is fine, but the app is one of the worst apps I've ever used. It used to be functional but they removed the ability to arm/disarm your system. Now you have to do it per device! HOW IS THAT USEFUL!? Cancelled my subscription.

The app never works, neither does the camera. Every time you get a notification and click on it, there's an error loading it in the app. In addition, it might just be my area bc it's Jersey but people on this app are insufferable and frankly, not too bright. The posts might as well be on Facebook, they're that vapid.

Most recent upgrade removes the ability to change monitoring modes from the app dashboard. To change modes, you must upgrade to a more expensive plan costing twice as much! This comes after raising the price of the basic plan by $10. If you don't upgrade, turning off motion detection becomes a cumbersome process. Had I known Ring would raise the cost while removing a basic function, I would have gone with a different system. I will not renew my subscription.

The new version of Ring Camera firmware has degraded the quality, clarity, and performance of live stream video/audio... it's absolutely horrible. I've worked with support with no viable solution. I discovered that if I factory reset the camera the quality I was used to is restored. However this is short lived as the new Ring App ugrades it shortly after connection to the app and degrades everything again!! If this isn't fixed soon, I will be selling every camera and moving to another solution!

Basic features not available all of a sudden. I pay for the Basic subscription which already was bare bones. Now they stopped access to Modes. I pay yearly so I expect to keep what I am paying for at least until the subscription renews. Will not buy any more Ring equipment and will be searching for a replacement ASAP. I don't need advanced features but I expect the equipment to perform basic functions without being held hostage for more money.
