ACR Phone Dialer & Spam Call Blocker is a phone app that can replace your default dialer. This is a brand-new app and we are constantly improving it.

Privacy:
We ask only permissions that are absolutely required. For example, while allowing contact access enhances features, app works even if you deny contacts permission. Your personal data such as contacts and call logs never transferred outside your phone.

Phone app:
Clean and fresh design with dark theme support.

Blacklist / Spam blocking:
Unlike many other services this is an offline feature where you build your own blocklist. You can add any unwanted numbers to the Blacklist from the calls log, contacts list or input the number manually. Blacklist has different matching rules such as Exact or Relaxed matching. You can schedule black list rules per number. Completely implemented and ready to use.

Call announcer:
Announces contact names and numbers for incoming calls. It has advanced features such as announcing when headphones or Bluetooth headset connected.

Call notes:
Add and edit notes or reminders to calls to during or after call ended.

Backup:
Easily Export or import your Call logs, Contacts and Call blocking database. Partially implemented.

Call Log:

Wonderful app for my needs. I love the fact that it allows me to take note during the call (as I always have to take some note and I don't wanna do it outside the call). HOWEVER, there is a small bug with the note feature: When I'm talking to A and taking the note, if there's another call coming in, I lose all the note I'm writing. If you could fix it, it will be greatly appreciated 👏

09/24/24: FINALLY, can delete multiple calls at once by single pressing on contact avatar ! (01/02/24): please add option to delete multiple calls (in call log) vs having to delete one at a time. Add addt'l call screen themes (i.e. more gradient colors) — SHOULD be doable. App needs some UI customizations for ACTUAL colors; (gray, black) become boring after a while. 1 st review: please add themes for incoming calls. Only options are to add a picture, video or ACR's default background.

8/24 Update: lowering stars after realizing that the app has been blocking a lot of calls that come in from my medical providers over the years :/ Performs fantastically, could benefit from sightly more intuitive UI (such as just swiping left/right between dialing and contacts vs that overlay you click out of if that's not what you're planning to do). All in all pretty nice app that's lightweight and does what it says it does. Been using it in its older iterations for 6 or 7 years now.

i am disabled (non-functional right hand) and acr phone recorder is a godsend, i can record calls setting up appointments rather than trying to remember and write details afterwards. biggest problem is trying to keep up with changes necessited by Google's constantly increasing Android restrictions intented to prevent phone recording, even though 1st party recording is 100% legal where i live.

I bought the previous version and used it for years. I've been using this new version for years as well. Edit: I found the visual voicemail setting, however it's been saying "activating visual voicemail" for a while now, at least a few hours. Not sure what I can do to fix it? ACR reached out to me but I was still never able to get it resolved. I now have visual voicemail thru a different app. Wish it could be all in the same place but at least I found a workaround.

I love it for call recording, but I have two issues with it 1. I like having my dial pad open when I open the app. But if I enable this, the previously dialed number is still there and I have to delete it before dialing a new number 2. I can't get visual voice mail to work at all. I disabled visual voicemail in my original phone app and have waiting over a week.

Whenever I end speakerphone calls, I have to reboot my phone to get the microphone-active icon to turn off (notifications bar). If I force close and manually restart APH instead of rebooting the whole phone, I'll get a message that APH crashed … every few minutes until I reboot the phone. Thankfully, for all the hours per day that I hand-held compute, I average 1-10 calls in any given week. If I had a lot of calls, this would be a deal breaker.

As other reviews have also stated, I'm never notified of voicemails. EVER. I can't use visual voicemail at all if I choose to use the ACR dialer. I'm running horrible Android 14 on a Pixel 8 Pro. The reply I see from developers is to email you about it but why? Obviously, this has been a chronic, ongoing problem for a long time with this app. You've evidently received plenty of feedback judging by reviews. Please fix this very major issue. Thanks.
