Horribly slow and unoptimized app. The UI is not user friendly, too many pop-ups especially on takeaway section. Everything takes ages to load and would either freeze or crash before you actually do anything you wanted to do. Ads would've been fine if it stopped showing me just the one specific ad I don't like, but that's literally the one it shows me on every nook and cranny of the app showing you on the worst places.

So. Many. Giant. Ads. I tried looking at the menu of one single restaurant and every other image was a giant temu ad. I didn't even spend a full minute using the app before being bombarded with ads. Unusable. What happened? It used to be a useful resource. Now, garbage.

If you zoom into the photos and try to scroll, it moves to the next photo. Dumb update to scroll photos up and down rather than left and right. Very frustrating experience. The search is also now less streamlined and requires you to use multiple entries on multiple pages. Very bad UI.

Too many ads in between looking at restaurant photos, it's a very terrible experience and I don't really think it helps at all with finding any restaurant

Very bad new search interface 1) Search result does not show rating of restaurants (which is the main reason people go to OpenRice) 2) Pictures / video are way too big and distracting while restaurant names are way too small 3) When I click, I want to go to see the restaurant result, not the photo. You can only click on the small restaurant name to do so (which is inconvenient) 4) Where is the sort / filter button on the result page? Please add option for people to use the old search interface

App is nice, various restaurants to choose from. However, there are some consistent issue with this app. I often find it lack options that I'm looking for, such as a "quiet place" option. Not user friendly for searches cause it often reset itself and you need to reenter the info. And way too many ads that forces you to move your finger to the top of the phone to close it down every single time.

Tons of bugs, not convenient for users to bookmark and categorize the restaurants

Has way too many ads including pop-up ads and banner ads that arent even related to food. Native ads that at least offer another restaurant at least makes sense and is tolerable. Search results especially for western foods are often hit or miss as well. The desktop version is even worse with native ads in the form of a map which tricks you into clicking into it by looking like directions to the place you want to go. The only saving grace are the occasional promotions and booking features.
