Pilot is Britain's best-selling general aviation magazine. Whether you are an aeroplane enthusiast, already a pilot or thinking of becoming one, it's a great read. Each issue is packed with flight tests, travel articles, news, technique features & much more to inspire, inform and entertain, including stunning photographs.------------------------
This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest issue.
Available subscriptions are:
12 months: 13 issues per year
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.

While pilot magazine is great, the electronic publishing is a awful, appalling shambles. The web version is a nightmare to use and I've ended up with two subscriptions, one for web access and one to use the Android app. There is no way to use the Android subscription from the web app. Why???

Every month I have to delete and reinstall to be able to download the latest magazine edition.

Not working at all now. Total failure. Initially back issues wont download. Uninstalled then re-installed the app and now nothing downloads. You really need to get the old one back until the glitches in the new version are solved. Total waste. Only works for the developers! (Added on 29th July 2016) in response to the developers reply. Unlike the old version the new app refuses to work. Sorry.

The old app worked fine. Why change something that wasn't broke? I can't login following the update and each time I try to get hold of someone (only contactable by email) I get a message saying someone will be in contact within 2 days! Great service thanks.

The score is mostly for the customer service. I had an existing account with Archant. When I renewed via this app I lost the access to the Archant account which meant that I could not access the content via my PC. Calling Archant customer service was extremely disappointing as they could not link the purchase through the app to my existing account. Google refunded the money but it was an endless back and forth. I would have expected Archant to take ownership and resolve the issue
