I got the Arc Ultra yesterday so I needed this app to set it up correctly. I spend an hour trying to connect the Arc to my network, I followed all the suggestions in the app, rebooting the router, correcting my network settings etc. I had to install the app again to make it work. Today, I added Youtube Music as a service, it worked great until the evening. Suddenly the service is no longer visible in the Sonos App and adding it again also doesn't work. State management is a mess.

This is by far the worst app I've had the displeasure of using. Absolutely woeful, the lag is unbearable and it's borderline impossible to set up. Once it is done there about a 75% that it'll stop working and by that point you just get a bunch of different error messages when trying to do anything about it. It refuses to play any music when asked to but randomly shuffles music when it's supposed to be disconnected. How this made it past quality control is beyond me...

Update: last version 8, the app don't recognise my system at all. All speakers, sound bars etc... Are with fix up address, how hard it can be to store those ip adresses? Instead the app immediately give an error as it should wait to search the network, I paid easy 1500 euros and the app is not at the level of investissement. And please don't ask me to contact support with a copy past answer.

Terrible app since last upgrade Randomly disconnects/ forgets system that has been set up. Will just fail to work for no reason, so you'll be stuck, unable to turn on/off, or change a radio station, or adjust the volume. Issues have been ongoing for months, they've issued an apology for how poor the upgrade has been, but they still haven't rectified the issues. I really wish they would revert to the previous app version. It wasn't the most user-friendly, but it did work

I've owned Sonos speakers since 2011. I've moved many times & had to set them up on new WiFi networks etc. Was always relatively easy & painless. This new app has absolutely destroyed all that. It's a total nightmare. I just end up in an endless loop of errors & unable to connect messages. I can't believe the incompetence of whoever runs this joke of a company now. Too bad. Used to be a great product. Speakers are still good quality but what does that matter if the software is pure garbage?

I agree with Chris Rivera's review dated 3/15/24. I have the sound bar connected to my TV, so fortunately, my speaker still functions and volume is controlled by TV remotes. I give up trying to "BE ON THE SAME NETWORK" issue!¡! Very unhappy. After today's update, the new version can't find my device and gives me NO OPTION to continue setup!!! What now???? FINALLY!!! I can now run the app from my phone. I hope today's success wasn't a fluke!!

I use the Sonos speakers in a number of ways, like most people. I have the play 3 and 2 ones paired as a home entertainment system. This works well because I don't need the terrible app. I also have a roam. Trying to link to Spotify is patchy using the updated app. The roam connects to a Bluetooth record player and previously let me piggyback to the rest of the system. This has suddenly stopped working. If I connect other devices it simply stops playing. This is very frustrating.

Wow this is awful. I really enjoy the new "feature" of a 2 minute delay between choosing a song and it starting to play. Even better is the way it totally ignores all volume settings and sets everything back to whatever the app chooses. Horrific. Old version was great - absolutely no reason to destroy the app with a useless and pointless change. What on earth were the people masquerading as developers thinking? Update: it's even worse now. Atrocious app. 2.3* average is very generous...
