Horrible service. Updates don't do any good. Using the locate feature and it shows my kid halfway across the country. Standing in my own house on Wi-Fi and it will show the location several miles away. I live in the city so there are plenty of towers. I'm going to switch to a prepaid phone. I'd rather pay more every month for peace of mind and a working product.

The watch is borderline useless with this app. It continually and consistently logs me out of the app without notifying me. So when my kid sends me messages it cannot receive it because it keeps logging me out. Defeats the purpose of having the watch

App is just terrible. For example parent portal will stop syncing with the watch so can't do parent features, but still allows one to reboot the watch remotely and shows location so is connected. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app to fix it.

So I went to update some settings on the app, and it appears all previous setup is lost. It's asking me to re setup the watches. The app in my location doesn't seem to have many issues, but the location of my kids isn't as "real time" as I'd like it to be. My main issue is with the app at the moment. If I can get it logged in and working again, then if my settings are still there, I will come back and rate this better.

I'm able to read my messages from all other apps on my Garmin watch. But TickTalk notifications don't contain a message preview. It just says I have a ticktalk message. So I have to dig up my phone, and go through a series of about 10 clicks to find the message. The notification does not take you to the app. Going to the messages does not load the newest message. You have to go back out of the app and go back in. It takes a long time to find out what my kid wants to tell me.

The app crashes repeatedly when trying to open/log in. The location tracking will tell us the watch is an hour away randomly when it's at home but will work other times. Just activated the watch yesterday and not at all impressed with the app which you need to use to communicate with or locate your child at all. You can call the watch without the app, thankfully. I will update if it improves.

Update: OK, we have lift off! I tried every day last week (starting Tuesday) and finally this morning the SIM card is working. Voice calling works, location tracking works, texting works, etc. Super excited There are way too many bugs on the Tick Talk 5. The Sim is activated, but it won't make or receive calls, as soon as it's outside of wifi it goes offline (essentially defeating the entire reason I bought the watch). I hope these issues get worked out otherwise this watch is getting returned!

Watch is fine. But the app stinks. Constantly says "connecting to server" when I try to read or send messages on the app, even when I'm on strong wifi/cell coverage. I feel like it shouldn't be that hard to get connectivity correct but I guess I'm wrong about that
