Like other apps, they started the premium-subscription-overpriced-or-massive-ads thing. Not worth anymore. I mean, who's paying new Netflix prices (not the old, nor the older, the new twice or trice increased pricing of Netflix) for features that have been removed for free users and added to the subscription? Oh and removing features for a new premium thing along with not grandfathering people who paid the once one-time fee shows you how the company treats their customers. Leave. Now friend.

Used to love this app. Simple, user friendly. Now it peppers me with ads to pay for premium; I have to search for the wines I just scanned; I can't scan multiple wines. What a shame, classic situation of selling themselves out for the dollar. I wouldn't mind watching an advert every now again if it meant I could just scan a rate easily!

Good app in general, but apparently you have to review bomb companies for them to change anything. They send huge amounts of spam emails, and the unsubscribe button does nothing. I have unsubscribed 10 times already and they continue to send them. PROMO EMAILS SHOULD BE OPT IN, NOT OPT OUT! and if they are opt out at least let me opt out ffs. If they were to fix this it would be an easy 4 star app

This app is great for keeping track of my tasting history, managing what I have on hand, learning about wines, building taste profiles. The label scanning feature isn't faultless, but it works pretty well. One issue is that the crowd-sourced ratings and tasting notes on wine turn out to be almost useless. Another issue is that over time the UI has gotten pretty confusing, as has some information presentation. The app is quite difficult to navigate and use in it's current form.

A lesson in how a great app (once rated 4+) can be undermined by greed. About 18 months ago they made great fanfare about new features. Instead they blocked key functionality unless you paid an (exorbitant) subscription. Thankfully, a phase of ad bombardment seems to have subsided - but the subscription to unlock key features remains over the top. This app exists only through the rich content provided by users. The (new?) owners need to recognise this and work out a fairer business model.

To many ad and blocked features. I have been using this app for years to help me find wines I enjoyed and learn of new wines I would like. Now, they want to charge $5 a month to use these features? I use the app maybe 2 to 3 times a month. Just tone down the ads so you can get you $, and open up the features again. No way am I spending $5 a month on this app.

Quite happy with the search function and result, however... The ads make the experience so terrible. The moment I clicked on the wine name, the "Shopee" app turn on the vivino direct me to the app. It not only happened once, each time I clicked on the wine name, it will redirect me to there even I closed the shopee app. So frustrating.

I would like to pay for the removal of ads, but the premium aubscription is in my opponion not worth it at all. The app is laggy and the premium features are not needed. I liked the app way more before the redesign
