My 050 is a service that allows you to place cheap phone calls to regular phone numbers in Japan and any other country in the world.ADDITIONAL FEATURES FOR 050 NUMBER HOLDERS:
- Unlimited free calls between My 050 users
- Free access to 0120 Free Dial numbers
- Receive free calls from any other phone
- Call forwarding service from your 050 IP-number to any number in Japan or abroad
FEES:
On September 1st, 2022, we will introduce the following two My 050 Number Service fees:
- an application fee of 550 yen
- a maintenance fee of 550 yen, every 6 months
Users who subscribe before September 1st, 2022 or those who apply for the service via our authorized agents will not pay the maintenance fee until April 1st, 2023.
Add credits to your account (by credit card, PayPal, or at convenience stores in Japan with My Payment) and enjoy some of the lowest calling rates in the market!
Please note that in order for us to issue a 050 number, the law requires that we get from the user personal identification valid in Japan.
If no valid personal identification can be provided, we can issue a Brastel account without a 050 number, in which case, all calls, including those to other My 050 users, will be charged. The maintenance and application fees do not apply in this case.

One Major bug, i am observing is when app is not in recent app list, i.e. cleared from ram, it is unable to get any incoming call. Its very bad as i have also always on after startup enabled. Kindly fix this.

They write that you can recharge you sim, so one don't have to go to a store and buy a ijmio gb pack. And one can use different pay methods. But it's just doesn't work. And it's only possible to use paypal not visa. And the paypal payment through the app doesn't work.

To get a phone number you need a Japanese mobile phone number that can receive SMS. Edit: Alternatively, you can send a picture of your passport/visa pages to their email and can get the number that way. This should somehow be represented in the app.

I can't make this vibrate when I am receiving a phone call and I miss the call. It does ring if I turn the sound on but sometimes you don't want to make it ring. Weird.

Sim card recharge rates are ridiculous! Cost 1,500 yen for 0.5GB recharge. I might as well just buy a new sim card again for 1,800 yen and get 1.5GB! However, I found out the 1,500 yen rate is the same as on the IIJmio website so this app is not any different.

You don't download this and definitely don't buy the SIMS card. Just got off the phone with some customer service rep they won't refund you the money if the passcode on the card or anyting is damaged even miss on their end

On Xiaomi Redmi 4 prime this app is lagging like hell. When I'm trying to dial a number I need to wait for 5+ seconds to press the next button. Unfortunately not usable on my phone.
