The Splicecom iPCS for Android IP softphone application is designed to operate as an extension of the Splicecom SelectVoice IP-UC business telephone system. The connectivity from an Android device to the SelectVoice system utilises WiFi, Internet or 3G/4G. The iPCS application enables an Android device to replicate the functionality of a Splicecom IP System Phone.

Please Note: The Splicecom iPCS for Android IP softphone application will only operate when registered to a SpliceCom SelectVoice IP-UC business telephone system and without this registration will not function at all. Registration with a Splicecom SelectVoice system requires the appropriate licences to be installed on the system. Please consult with the System Administrator within your organisation to understand if your existing business telephone system is from Splicecom and whether it can support this application.

Compatible with Android versions from 8 up.

Known Issue: A problem exists when running iPCS on Huawei phones, where, when active on an internal iPCS call, a GSM call for the native Android phone app is presented and answered, the iPCS call is put on hold. With the GSM call still active, switching back to iPCS to take the iPCS call off hold, there is an attempt to return to the iPCS call but the following message is displayed, 'A call is in progress, iPCS is unable to use the microphone' and the iPCS call disconnects.

The current work around is to use the Huawei dialler to hold the GSM call and then swap back to iPCS.

Please note that this issue is a function of the Huawei device that cannot be controlled via the iPCS application. This operation has also been tested on Android devices from other manufacturers and works as expected.

Using with work to connect via WiFi to my works pcs60 phone line remotely...we started using it with covid lockdown and was initially not so great... its improved but still has a way to go. In all fairness to the app designer's they've probably not had the normal chance to iron out the bugs and suddenly had a massive influx of issues because of what's going on! Over the past few months I have noticed improvement over several areas - it will may well get to 5 stars but right now expect some bugs.

Buggy. Although there have been improvements since first installing it. Major problem is that it doesn't ring when the phone is locked unless it was the last accessed app on the phone. After a lot of experimenting figured out if I lock the ipcs app to always on then it will ring.

Absolutely terrible. Works when it wants to, disconnects every 20 minutes or so and the loudspeaker doesn't work. Also, you can't connect a Bluetooth headset for calls. Pray your employer opts for a different soft phone.

Awful on Android. it arbitrarily decides to stop working without telling you, the only indicator is an angry call on another platform from a colleague telling you to log in. when it stops the only way to fix is remove and reinstall. when it inevitably cuts you off mid call there is no beep like a real phone call so you are either asking "are you still there" every 20 seconds or you waffling on to thin air. this is the ginger stepchild of soft phone applications

Its awful, cuts you off mid call, people can't hear you and you can't hear them! When you try to forward a call it doesn't connect and then cuts off the caller! Very embarrassing when your trying to use it for business.

Terrible audio quality, doesn't forward calls half the time, no indication of if it's working or not, or even if you've entered correct details or not. Unfit for use.

Frequently disconnects - even when showing as connected. Generally have to force stop app and restart to reconnect. Since recent update it disconnects every time you change to a different app.

Android app is terrible. Haven't been able to connect at all for a couple of months now, certainly not since the last update. No problem on other OS though!
