BART Watch: Free Security App for Riders.The BART Watch App offers the public a quick and discreet method for reporting suspicious activity directly to BART Police. The app can send pictures, text messages, and locations of suspicious people or activities. From the home screen, users have two easy options for contacting BART Police:
* The “Report a Problem” button allows users to send text or photos directly to BART Police. To ensure discretion, the camera flash is automatically disabled when photos are taken through the app. When reporting an issue, users can select locations and report categories to assist BART Police. Riders can also send reports anonymously if they chose.
* The “Call BART Police” button will connect customers directly to BART Police.
The application is designed for BART. If you send a report in an area without cellular connectivity, it will be stored and sent when connectivity returns. The system is also designed to send text messages before pictures so that BART Police can get app reports as quickly as possible.
Additional Features
BOLO (Be On the Look Out) Alerts. BOLO Alerts on the BART Watch App may display alerts from BART Police about specific persons of interest. For example, BART Watch may display information about a missing person or child, such as where they were last seen. If you see a person from a BOLO, immediately call 911 and send an app report to BART Police discreetly.

I love this app. It works great. Soon as you take a photo and send in the issue you get an immediate text back from a real person who keeps the conversion going. Please advertise this app on Bart. Why don't you? But this app is cumbersome to set up to send the report...too many steps, menu to choose. Don't use an app, just let us text you photos and words.

It doesn't do any good. Make a report and the most they do is make an announcement. Which can rarely be heard and is always ignored! This app is a joke so BART can say they're "making improvements" or "progress" or whatever. It's useless.

For some reason only my messages to BART are saved but not BART's responses back to me. When responses are provided back, the notification bar only says "New message from BART". Only record of conversation appears to be through screenshotting.

I've tried reporting people multiple times with zero response. This app would be a good idea if BART police actually followed through. BART allows people to scream at the top of their lungs and threaten people on the train and do nothing about it DAILY! PEOPLE SMOKE CRACK ON THE PLATFORMS, BLAST MUSIC IN THE TRAINS AND SMOKE WEED ON THE TRAIN AND POLICE DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT IT!!!

Whatever update they made has left a permanemt noticiation saying "Fetching new Messages". I'm going to uninstall this to clear it. Especially since I'm not riding BART for a couple weeks.

Sort of pointless. If you report ANYTHING don't expect them to check on it quickly. And if they do, I've never seen them do anything. BART is a lawless land

Don't even bother sending any reports. They will ask you if, and I quote, " will you be willing to point at the person committing the crime" ( while the crime is still happening)?.... I'm sure everyone would do that! Right into their face of the crazy crack head! Shouldn't be a problem😒😏😮💨. Useless! I don't even know why they bother to add an "ANONYMOUS" button. Useless app, useless service, useless PD👎👎👎👎

I tried using the app to get a couple of drunk guys off the train. It doesn't help that the car number can't easily be seen to report anything.
