Oct2024. They've updated the app and it requires a registration which is confirmed via OTP. I've used my mobile number and email address and no OTP is received.

Not user-friendly. Has problems from time to time. Doesn't have some addresses you're looking for. They moved from an app to being a shortcut being web-based and in case you're struggling to move around the map, you need to use 2 fingers to scroll across up or down instead of before being 1 finger. So zooming is 2 fingers and moving through the map is also 2 fingers. The map then rotates and then the street names are not in alignment. 🤦‍♂️

Sorry, how in the world did they manage to make an okay app worse?! Previously it may not have been pretty, but it sort of worked. Now it looks great but has is super slow, hard to navigate, and just worse than the old one. And also, when are they going to add a simple notification setting to alert you in advance for loadshedding (and if it already exists, make it findable)

Downloaded this app to keep up to date with load shedding but it has failed to predict upcoming load shedding windows for my area several times. The app seems to struggle with changes to stages during the day. Other aspects of the app seem fine, but I haven't made much use of the functionality. This app is a giant leap forward from the previous version - UI and UX. Now if you get the load shedding right, I will leave a 5 star review!

Very effective and up easy to use. Like the map feature that shows you the current and next effected areas on the map. The saved locations needs a little work as that sometimes shows blank. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars as it meets the objectives and I like the fact that it will take you to the City of Cape town web portal to log a service request if need be.

This has a lot of potential, however, I've experienced a few issues as a new user. I am marking this review temporarily as 1-star for improved visibility. 1) Frequently get shown the no internet connection page, which then also sends me back. I am on a stable wifi connection, with a 500mbps fiber connection. My internet is not the problem. 2) Several links on the proposals page are not working. It would be great to have a bug report button that makes it easy to report app issues.

Well that was disappointing. Was expecting great things... buy cant even log into eServices because "no internet connection. It seems you are not connected to the internet. Please insure you are connected and try again" firstly I have a connection. Secondly it should be ensure not insure. Insure means protect against loss and ensure means make sure or be certain. Not much else I can say about the app. It tells me load shedding stages but ESP does that. A lot of this app is just webviews too 👎

Use this app a few times now and very impressed with it's implementation and service. An additional feature recommendation would be to have users enter id number and it municipal account when logging an issue. This could be added as an extra parameter when logging an issue or user could register first. This has a few data analytics benefits as well and out of the box security. Well done to everyone involved in making this a reality and tha k you to the people doing the day to day services. 💯🫡!
