Ontario 511 app provides near real-time highway and traffic information to Ontario drivers to help them safely plan their route. This includes information on construction, truck and public rest areas, incidents and road closures, weather alerts and the location of snowplows on highways across the province.This app features a scrollable, zoomable map that displays:

• Incidents and closures, such as collisions and other road hazards
• Over 600 cameras
• Construction and roadwork
• Rest area information

• Track My Plow to locate snow plows on Ontario highways

Set-up account with correct cell number but SMS confirmation is not received, even with checking in text spasm folder and requesting confirmation be resent. The only other option is to receive notifications by email. Useless for helping people get ready for work and leaving on time.

I installed this app to be able to view the traffic/weather conditions using the cameras that I know exist on the MTO website. However, this app ONLY shows the cameras along the 400 series highways. I literally avoid all Highway travel as much as I can. Useless. I have now also discovered that I cannot use the 511 website because when I go to it the damn app opens instead. Will be deleting immediately.

Terrible. Roads say clear when the cameras show they are clearly not and it the rest stop areas are almost all closed in the winter even of the app says they are open. Can't rely on this app for any accurate information, particularly for Northern Ontario which is where you really need that information.

Wow guys way to blow it. Just feed this info to already existing gps apps or something. I don't want sms notifications of traffic events based on region and day of week. Thats useless to me. What I'd rather see is accurate info fed to my gps and push notifications based on my selected route or along the roads near or around my current direction of travel. I'm not going to take the additional time to feed your app my route just to get traffic data. Like c'mon MTO it's 2020 syart acting like it.

Ok..so i downloaded the app and put in my destination and it said it was determining traffic on route. I hit start button and nothing..it closed. Tried again and same thing..even after playing a traffic alert it just closed...whaaaaat?? Very annoying- am i missing something?

The app used to work well. Now it just crashes over and over again. Out of date traffic info, the cameras don't work a huge chunk of the time. Don't even bother with downloading this.
